Chairman to Resign?

Recommended Posts

yay we might have a chairman that doesn't force good managers out and doesn't have half of fleet street on speed dial

Biggish club going cheap wouldn't be a big surprise.

Oh and nearer to his family.

Hopefully now we can get a chairman that doesn’t get us relegated to the 3rd division due to random manager sackings and appointments, and then when we are finally doing well again fooks up the only good thing has happened to this club since O’Neill (peace be upon him) left.

Wednesday, you’re welcome to him.

It's been a while since I've been on here lads and lasses of Leicester. I have a little lad who is taking up huge amounts of time now. :) He was for a while the youngest season ticket holder at Hillsborough. I hope you are all well and best of luck for the remainder of the season

So...

Mandaric. Should I/we be worried? Can you give me some info on him?

Some facts about us under his 4year tenure.

When he took over the club we were in pretty much the exact same position we were when he arrived in that time...

We have had 8 full time managers (almost 2 pre season!!)

We have signed well over 60 players many of them utter shite

We were relegated to the lowest position the club has ever been in

I believe him and Harry still have a date with the high court (can't remember it being resolved?)

Most of the money he put into the club was secured loans

As a result you could probably concluded he has thrown away millions, made some very wrong decisions, sold the club with potentially far more debt than when he arrived and left us in exactly the same position as when he arrived.

Take from that what you will....

Always welcome back Tartan as a sensible and realistic poster who isn't just coming on to provoke. We are all football fans after all.

All of what Jay says is correct, though maybe looking through the opposite of rose-tinted glasses (sickly green maybe? (Was tempted to put blue and white stripes - oops, I have :giggle: )) I'm no big fan of Milan (the Avatar is heavy on the irony) but you can't really argue that he hasn't pulled the club out of the mire. I really also doubt that HMRC will successfully prosecute him in the High Court, even though I think the whole affiar to be dodgy. I just feel that if they did have a solid case then it would have all come out in the wash by now. Expect to sign players who seemingly don't exist though!

Congrats on the sprog by the way!

is it me or does he go for clubs that are/look in trouble to make him look like the saviour?

the only thing he has ever done right for us is sell us to some1 with a will to take us forward.

the next big thread will be who will be the new chairman!

Take all of what he says at a pinch of salt. Thats not to say all of what he says and does will be bad for your club, but he will spin a few yarns to make himself look more favorable.

LIE: he said he bought us for 25m when in reality is was £600,000

FLIPSIDE: he has put millions into us since. He is of course a buisnessman and has apparently sold us for millions and millions of profit.

we have taken several footsteps backwards to start going forwards again. He will not bring instant success but here we are a few years later having 3 defenders on loan with a combined value of nearly 30m.

He will build you up, make you an attractive proposition to investors ( sack several managers along the way to shape you how he wants you to) and then sell you for a tidy profit to people who have an aim ( for their own reasons) of wanting the notariaty of owning a premier league team so will pour money into the club themselves to realise that dream. He will sign several of his own players along the way too. (the managers will often not mind as this will be made clear to them when he hires them).

We now have new owners who appear to be throwing money at the notion of getting premier league football. we Also have Sven Goran Erricson as manager... are these bad things?

Hold on for a bumpy ride. Is what i have just written an attractive scenerio for you and the fellow owls?

Will the pros outwiegh the cons?

That there is what will divide the Owls' opinions.

Good luck, friend. Sheffield Wednesday is one club i would like to see rise from the sshes.

I think he does it so he can get them on the cheap ( whilst looking the savior, yes) and maximise his profit - he is indeed a buisnessman,

This.

Don't really know what the argument for liking him is, apart from all that 'he saved us' bullshit.

or maybe Sousa!

I don't think even Flying Mad Mandaric is that crazy!

Sousa would do ok for them i guess, but given Pearsons pretty much legend status at the owls, and the fact he's not exactly lighting the world on fire at his current club with new owners, my moneys on him.

Pearson will not work under Mandaric again

I got the impression it was Lee Hoos that Pearson didnt get on with here, i can see where your coming from, but from what i could tell Mandaric and Pearson were still on good terms when he left, even after all the play off hoo-haa

Or maybe not

tweet from Stringer ''I expect a statement from #LCFC very soon re Milan Mandaric. Could put some distance between himself and the Shef Wed story. Matter of time!''

I'm giving it until christmas before Pearsons named the new owls manager

Are you on crack? Pearson left us because of Milan hes not going to go back.

the thing is pearson was nobodies fool. he'll no doubt have seen this summer as proof milan cared about keeping hoos at the club more than he did pearson and i doubt he'd want to work with milan again if he felt that way.
