No major investigation needs conducting here and I am sure all us City fans have seen incidents which Forest enjoy the occasion just as much as us. No need for justification of some sort.

I remember the threatening and hostile atmosphere down their grounds, granted they hate each other more but that's besides the point.

Anyone that knows anything knows that they both do hate us and they both always really, really want to beat us and take great pleasure in doing so. You ever go to Nottingham and the atmosphere is one of sheer intimidation and aggression - you then have 1 spell of fame due entirely to the Clugh era and try to be the big club that you're not I genuinely had school mates in the 70s who changed from Derby to Forest and vice versa - apart from that we're local rivals why else I agree with your comments Chester, I know many Derby and Forest fans who also changed sides in the 70's because of Brian Clough.
1964FOX Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 cheers thanks for the comments. looks like it goes back to the 70/80s I agree and the fact that hundreds if not thousands of each of our fans work with each other fuels the rivalry. There are numerous Leicester and Forest fans who do consider it there 'biggest must win game' and those from both sides who say it doesn't matter. This thread is replicated on both teams forums nearly every game, and every time it boils down to where you live, how old you are and who you work with. Personally I was young during the dark hooligan days of football and trust me there was some severe hatred between our fans, this obviously lingers in the minds of some my age and they really hate your team. Personally I dislike Derby fans more because my early experiences of them was not good. I was in London before the England v France farce the other week and I met several Forist fans at a ub near Wembley.We had some good conversation, had a laugh and told each other how much we would gloat if we won next Monday. Good old fashion bantor between fans.

markbsac Posted 25 November 2010 Posted 25 November 2010 i aint sitting on the fence i hate em....main reason almost all of there fans i know think they are better than anybody else ..even man u and liverpool....smug and big headed comes to mind...living in loughborough the florist fans i know hate us and we hate them more than direby ect.......in my local club there are a few of them...we dont even talk to each other..well they do when we were on a bad run with sousa to take the piss and when we got releagted,saying we would not come straight back up ect......then the harping on about them couple of pots all the time even the ones that wernt born then...all in all quite dispicable fellows
