Jimothy Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 Just had East Midlands today on and Earnshaws "claim" was on the highlights but not Vassells. Joke of a news programme.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 The last angle looks like Earshaw fell over his own feet. Vassell's was blatant. The ref probably evened them up.
ajthefox Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 I've never been so annoyed about a pen shout for us before as Vassell's last night, any ref who doesn't give that can get fooked if they want my respect. An absoute joke of a professional. I was worried they had a pen as he went down. Hard one to call really becase the slightest of touches would've sent earnshaw tumbling. Anyone banging on about diving is clearly ignoring any "fouls" on wellens last night.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 Ours was a stone waller. Nothing in theres. Obvious to see.
Guest ttfn Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 I thought earnshaw was fouled. As for ours, it was a blatant penalty, but hardly the assault some on here are claiming
m00nie Posted 30 November 2010 Posted 30 November 2010 how blinkered some people look at things... wellens took a couple of dives if i remember last night i still cant decide if earnshaw was clipped though. i thought he was at first..
Finnegan Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I thought earnshaw was fouled. As for ours, it was a blatant penalty, but hardly the assault some on here are claiming !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take another look at it:
MC Prussian Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 None of them were clear penalty shouts, Earnshaw's silly self-inflicted tripping anyway. We need to come up with better excuses for not being able to score more goals from open play.
Finnegan Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 None of them were clear penalty shouts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1YyWRKVzaw&feature=related !?!?!?!
Asha Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 I don't think either are that clear cut. And at the end of the day, it doesn't matter now. Leicester won 1-0.
MC Prussian Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 http://www.youtube.c...feature=related !?!?!?! One Welsh tw@t is all I can take, don't push me.
Finnegan Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 One Welsh tw@t is all I can take, don't push me. Are you honestly telling me Vassell's wasn't a penalty!?
themotivator Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 some slightly more balanced journalism from the bbc sport website. i think this set of highlights does us better justice than the others http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/9246647.stm
CupidStunt Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 It does make you wonder what went through the refs mind the moment Vassel was hauled down..... he was right there FFS, same with Wellens, the footage shows the ref right on the spot when he was bundled from behind. It would make an interesting read if they were made to explain the key decisions after the match, in a report we could all read
StanSP Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 Can any refs on here (DB11, looking at you!) explain how, if a player goes down in the box not accidentally and isn't given a penalty, that player doesn't get booked for diving? Surely, in Earnshaw's case, if the ref didn't think there was contact for Earnshaw to go down, then he should have been booked. And if he did think there was contact, why was a penalty not given?
CupidStunt Posted 1 December 2010 Posted 1 December 2010 One Welsh tw@t is all I can take, don't push me. Thats why he is wearing that stupid hat.....I get it now So birds (of the pigeon variety) dont Shit on his Teeth

Maybe he thought Earnshaw fell over his own feet, so it was accidental. But he still should have been booked because he claimed. Even if a player falls over accidentally, the moment he claims it becomes a dive.
