Ian Stringer - Oh Dear

Recommended Posts

I've always thought Stringer was a tool but this on my radio while driving home from visiting family for Christmas made my blood boil...

We are losing 2-0 to Filthy Dirty Leeds.. And the Leeds fans are up and singing and Stringer pipes up with "What a great sight the Leeds fans are."

Alan Young could'nt believe his ears either.

Stringer you really are a twerp.

He talks shit all the time, but saying the opposing fans are a "Great sight" while we are losing 2-0 is out of order for me.

I like Stringer, you listen to the other drivel from opposition teams and you will be thankful. He is a passionate commentator and fan and i enjoy listening to him :)

Listen to other teams local commentary and you'd think different. I'm glad we've at least got a passionate City fan who gets football and cares a great deal about this club.

TBF to him he's got to think of things to say, and if nothing's happening on the pitch of any note why not tell us about what else is happening in the stadium? And if the opposition fans are all on their feet, singing (which at 2-0 up they probably are) what's wrong with saying that?

Football is all about opinion. Stringer is a fan, & I love listening to him. I don't have the money or freedom to come to that many games from London so listening to him on line for me is as good as it gets for most games. I'll be there at millwall on Tuesday tho :-)

He is a pathetic immature commentator who really should grow some more hair on his balls

And you're a constant sad-sack and doom-monger who never has anything worthwhile to say on this forum but we have to put up with you.

Stringer doesn't half come out with some sh.it but to be fair to him I wouldn't want to have to talk non-stop for an hour and a half (well apart from ht anyway). He is a genuine lover of football and a massive Leicester fan so I think people should probably give him a break.

It's seems Stringer has more lovers than haters.

I'll shut up.

Still made me fooking cross though, it's the last thing you want to hear when your team is 2-0 down at home.

Luckily for me I wont be missing anymore home games this season so wont be tuning in.

To be fair, Leeds do have a loud set of fans and when i saw them at Norwich i was sitting the otherside of the stadium and i could only hear them might be because Norwich is usually a library though.

It's because they are used to shouting after their sheep dogs and yelling to each other through the din of their cowsheds.

His reaction when King scored was the same as mine. Take the point about the Leeds fans but he's one of us. No doubt about that.

....and Alan Young is a legend. :appl:

Leeds fans only sung when they were 2-0 up. They soon shut up at 2-2.

" We don't understand, we don't understand, you're talking bullshit, we don't understand! "

Posted

tbh leicester fans were pretty quiet up until mid way through the second half - the leeds fans were noisy but thats what you expect with them.

Well respect to the Leeds fans for being loud from the start, as per usual. But they did shut up when they conceded the penalty, and they went pretty much silent after the equaliser for the rest of the game.
