Jon Posted 6 January 2011 Posted 6 January 2011 Sven talking him up to stay.... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_6635192,00.html
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Great news if he is staying! I dont think we could get a better left back anyway, and although Cunningham only had one or two bad games, I think we have missed Berner's experience and presence at the back.
blueredswed Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 If not soooooo..... the future is now! Come on Bruno if you will come along the train!!!!

We've certainly missed him at corners, it was a great header for Bamba's tap-in
MC Prussian Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Excellent news! But I have to stress again, what an odd way to make it back into the first team. In Bruno I trust. Great lad, great footballer and Swiss. Of course he's gotten a bit slower over the years, but overall, he adds so much to the team. Above all, much-needed stability.
Fox 4 Life Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 anyone else think Sven will try Mee at LB sooner rather than later and Bruno will go back to the bench?! Seems to me Sven is happy with the team now outside of GK and LB and will keep trying to strengthen those positions.
I am Rod Hull Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 Where will Mee play then? hope he doesn't take Hobbs' place, although, i can't make a judgement without seeing him play yet <_<
Wymsey Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 It makes me wonder whats the real factors for making players/coaches want to leave the club. ie, Fryatt, Powell and now Berner. hmm

Captain... Posted 13 January 2011 Posted 13 January 2011 The reason I would have been pissed off if I was Berner was that he got no opportunity to show he was good enough, I think he got zero minutes on the pitch from Cunningham signing to breaking his leg. Waghorn, Oakley, Fryatt, Moussa, Hobbs, Weale, Howard, Bednar, Kirkland all had the opportunity to show they were good enough, most of them failed. Apart from the WBA game where he was one of 8 changes to face premiership opposition with Logan and Neilson on the pitch too which he didn't perform in. Whilst Cunningham is a very good player and an exciting prospect, sometimes we were crying out for a bit of experience to marshall the back four, to slow down a game or shore us up defensively and he never got the chance. Morrison left for similar reasons, and Fryatt had a few chances but he didn't take any of them (sounds just like Fryatt to me). I hope Mee doesn't take Berner's, Hobbs' or Bamba's place on Saturday, bring him on as a sub, rotate things around a bit keep players fresh we have a good squad that is getting better by the day, we need to use it. Is anyone else concerned with the amount of games the likes of Naughton and King are playing without a break, or is Sven playing with accumultaive fatigue switched off?
Poakey Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Just read on the early edition of todays mercury that hes signed a new deal.
