isaidno Posted 20 February 2011 Author Posted 20 February 2011 Bahrain paid Bernie Ecclestone $40m to host the 1st race of the season.
JamesO Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 I'm sure that by the time the first race comes Mclaren will be doing well. If they can be near the lead by the time it comes to those 3 weeks that they have off they can improve the car more. Think that Paul di Resta will do well?
acooling08 Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 I'm just hoping for a season as close as last years. With a McClaren Drivers and Constructors championship of course
isaidno Posted 21 February 2011 Author Posted 21 February 2011 Bahrain Gp is officially postponed. Might be re-scheduled before or after the Abu Dhabi race .
StanSP Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 Australia as the first race of the season. Back to usual
Haydos Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 Australia as the first race of the season. Back to usual Good, Melbourne is a great opening race

anotherharboroughfox Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Not much chance of it, but I'd love to see Barrichello win it. Very passionate driver, spent a long time in the sport, always behind someone else.
James18 Posted 17 March 2011 Posted 17 March 2011 Anyone know the best F1 fantasy website? Maybe we should get a league going.
isaidno Posted 17 March 2011 Author Posted 17 March 2011 Anyone know the best F1 fantasy website? Maybe we should get a league going. http://www.fantasyf1league.com/ Me and my mates have been playing this for a couple of years, relatively easy to do. Pick 2 drivers and 2 teams within the budget. I've created a league league name : foxestalk password : king10

If Vettel can cut out the mistakes he made last season he will win the title with 2/3 races to spare.
isaidno Posted 27 March 2011 Author Posted 27 March 2011 great drives from Petrov & Perez. Shame the Saubers got disqualified
nothin2seehere Posted 27 March 2011 Posted 27 March 2011 Anyone know the best F1 fantasy website? Maybe we should get a league going. Should promote my mate's website: www.badgergp.com Fantastic F1 news site and he runs a Fantasy league. 2500 players last year.
isaidno Posted 9 April 2011 Author Posted 9 April 2011 Great Qualifying. Vettel, Hamilton, Webber & Button. 90% chance of rain for Sunday.
Peter File Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Great Qualifying. Vettel, Hamilton, Webber & Button. 90% chance of rain for Sunday. Only a few drops so far, nothing race-changing. It has been quite a decent race so far, although having a bit of trouble keeping up with the pitstops! Oh and Alonso just hits Hamilton! I'm really starting to loathe the new changes. Degradable tyres, KERS and DRS. I think the changes lack a bit of class.
Asha Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 I agree. There's more overtaking, sure, but it's always just down the pit lane. Knowing that's the opportunity, it seems they're a lot more reluctant to actually put a move together elsewhere.
Jimothy Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Vettel can fuck off! On pole again in China. I know he can't help it if he's that much better than the rest, or his car is that much quicker, but I want to see a competitive championship, not 23 drivers following a German every race, like it was when Schumacher dominated. Oh when did McLaren start wearing red racing suits, looks weird, makes them look like Ferrari drivers.
FoxyPV Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 Can someone else please develop a faster car? Red Bull's dominance is tedious. BTW did anyone read the article on Hamilton yesterday in the Guardian? Toys and pram come to mind.
isaidno Posted 16 April 2011 Author Posted 16 April 2011 Can't see Webber being at Red Bull next season.
Finnegan Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Can't see Webber being at Red Bull next season. lol !! Oh hindsight.
Asha Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 at Button driving into the wrong team's pit. Absolute fucking nonce. How anyone thinks he's one of the better drivers in the field I don't know - even Narain Karthikeyan could have snatched up that 09 championship with the clearly superior car.

Mean that last race was rubbish!

Daft error, yes, but you'd have to be a retard to think he's not a top driver. Didn't have the pace today but he's had relative parity with Hamilton since going to McLaren. Webber was a beast today though, what a drive.
Nick Posted 17 April 2011 Posted 17 April 2011 Daft error, yes, but you'd have to be a retard to think he's not a top driver. Didn't have the pace today but he's had relative parity with Hamilton since going to McLaren. Webber was a beast today though, what a drive. Button. I think he's a different type of F1 driver. I think he's an intelligent driver especially when it comes to tyre wear management and working within conditions and limitations of a vehicle. He's not the fastest or the most aggressive - modern f1 though suits him, there is a place in every team for a Button. I do agree though that the year of his victory with the superior diffuser was such a technical advantage, it may be shadowed his actual driving performances which may not have been exceptional (look at second half of the season when teams caught up on the design front) - trouble is, show me a driver that has won a F1 Championship in a car that is notably substandard to the rest of the field - swings and roundabouts methinks. He probably deserves his title that year on the basis that he got the most points and kept his nerve with the advantages he had. I think it would be fair to say Schumacher did that once or twice?
