Narborough_fox Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Yeah where are they going to open their spoiler? In the tunnel? That would be awesome! Keep an eye on Rosberg today though, he's starting 9th but I can see him flying. He was second quickest in Thursday's practice and even after he had his crash yesterday, he got straight back in the car and put a monster first lap in on Q1. He was unlucky in Q3 because he was just putting his best lap in when Perez crashed and then non of the drivers had any pace for the last 2:30 mins. He was brought up around the track so knows it very well + Mercedes are starting to find some pace. It's a all a recipe for a good day for the young German. Rosberg is actually starting 8th because Hamilton's qualifying lap didn't count because he cut a chicane. Hamilton moved down to 9th.
Nick Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Really looking forward to this one....... Hamilton to get on the podium Vettel & Alonso to take each other out. Webber 2nd Button for the win................... yeah right.............. Really though - this will come down to traffic and pit stops and the Red Bull pit crew right now have the edge in terms of speed on all the others This in my opinion will be down to the teams that deal with the safety car interruptions the best I'd stick money on the safety car coming out thrice.
Nick Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Hopefully Fernando gets on the podium today I see an accident for Fernando today.
Asha Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I see an accident for Fernando today. Only if Hamilton loses his rag again Hard to see past Vettel for the win though.
Bert Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I've never read so much drivel over some men and some cars. So what if Glock stopped for Hamilton, that's what you'd expect a mate to do for you. Some people are just sore losers and will use any excuse they can. Hope F1 isn't going to go through another german domination.
Filbert_Ross Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 ive heard this race is like trying to ride a tricycle around your front room
Nick Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Only if Hamilton loses his rag again Hard to see past Vettel for the win though. True story Sounds like Button's car is screwed already..........
StanSP Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Schumacher overtook Hamilton at the hairpin ! Vettel's gone in to the distance so quickly and easily. It's like no-one wants to challenge him, or can't, even.
Haydos Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 All kicking off now, good race. That pit/safety car has fooked Button over a bit.
VinceNoir Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 All kicking off now, good race. That pit/safety car has fooked Button over a bit. Yeah it's quite exciting! Hamilton having a bit of a moan today.
StanSP Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Hamilton has a nerve saying it was Massa's fault for their little bump at the hairpin. No, it was your fault Lewis for trying to over-take when the opportunity was clearly not there.

Tbf I think like they said in commentary, he's just trying to influence the race marshals in saying that, can't see how he's not been given a drive through so maybe it worked. McClaren have thrown this away a bit for Button. Ah, Hamilton's under investigation now, will expect a drive through.
StanSP Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Off the race-track though, in pre-race or other interviews, he comes across as a nice calm lad and respectful. But there was no need for him to pin blame on Massa there. Not even saying that as a Ferrari fan, either.

He's clearly a smart and honest lad but when things aren't going his way he does seem to get a bit frustrated. I'm a Button man myself, comes across as a bit more human, hasn't let it go to his head at all.
StanSP Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 Yeah Button seems more level-headed and it never seems as if things faze him. He seems to take things in his stride and just let things come as they go. I do hate his anti-dandruff advert though

Nick Posted 29 May 2011 Posted 29 May 2011 I feel Alonso's accident is imminent - Button for the win?
