Haydos Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 AAAARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT NOISE. If you want to rant about something, rant about it being 2011 and the BBC having that level of fucking technical failure. JESUS MY EARS. Haha, mines on full volume as the coverage is quite quiet. Scared the shit out of me

If you want to rant about something, rant about it being 2011 and the BBC having that level of fucking technical failure. JESUS MY EARS. That was one of those moments when I suddenly couldn't remember how to turn the volume down on my computer or press pause on the player or anything!
Brainy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Hamilton to blame for Button? People criticised Schumacher for shoving Massa into the wall at this track last year, how is this any different? Infact the only difference is that Schumachers was more intentional. Button saw him coming, Hamilton had part of his car up the side of Button's and again the person in Buttons position would/should have moved back over to the right to give him space.

Difficult to judge what they could both see given the visibility. Commentators pointing out that Button looked into his mirror is unhelpful, just because he looked it doesn't mean he saw anything. Regardless, he had the racing line and didn't drastically alter his course in any way to block Hamilton. We get it, you're as ludicrously biased as NSLL is towards Massa - but realistically it wasn't a majorly malicious incident either way but if anyone's to blame it probably was Hamilton for being overly aggressive in dangerous conditions.
Brainy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Overly aggressive? He was given no room and pushed into the wall, that indicates that maybe its the other driver that was being overly aggressive. Since they've been teammates they've given each other plenty of respect and space when theyre going wheel to wheel and im guessing Hamilton thought the same was going to happen here. Im not as biased as you make out, I dont just state Hamilton is not at fault for x incident without giving a sensible reason, and im more than happy to say when he's at fault, e.g Hamilton hitting Raikonnen here three years ago. Its up to you whether you want to agree or disagree.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Why do they start under the safety car when it's patently not safe enough to start racing? Why not just wait until it is? It just uses up valuable race laps.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Why do they start under the safety car when it's patently not safe enough to start racing? Why not just wait until it is? It just uses up valuable race laps. Because the cars have a big impact on the race conditions, they help. Plus you don't know what visibility will be like til the drivers get out there and it helps them get some heat back into the breaks before starting properly. C'mon Kobayashi! PS: Watch NSLL claim that was Button's fault.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Yes Jenson!! What a drive! And Schumey! That's got to be the big joy back, for sure? Big love for Kobayashi as well, what a demon he'd be in a decent car.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 When there was actually racing going on, it was riveting. Fantastic race.
Brainy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Ha, well he's under two investigations so hopefully the result will stick, wont hold my breathe though.
Asha Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 That was a stunning, stunning drive from Button. Really hope he doesn't get penalised for the incident with Fernando - don't think either were at fault it was clearly just a racing collision, and Button really deserves it. And in regards to Walkers defending Hamilton ....I'm not at all surprised that Hamilton was complete and utter dickhead once again. If this was Alonso taking everybody off the road you'd be wanting him banned.
Haydos Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Gave up on this and went out for a bit. Just got back about a minute after the end of the race
Guest shearfox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 One of the best drives I have ever seen from any driver it was a fantastic win. I so hope the FIA don't take it away from him though
Brainy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 If this was Alonso taking everybody off the road you'd be wanting him banned. ! You keep thinking that.
Asha Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 ! You keep thinking that. Yes, you would. You'd probably also bring out the mundane old 'Ferrari International Assistance' shit again if he wasn't. Oh, and in reference to an earlier post about being honest enough to accept Hamilton's fault in the Raikkonen incident three years ago....big woop. To have even remotely suggested otherwise would have been absolute lunacy, he creamed straight into the back of him. It's been suggested to me that Hamilton is fun to watch because he's aggressive - sure, but then look at people like Kobayashi, equally aggressive but a good enough driver to avoid causing two collisions on average per race. Hopefully the bumming of him will start wearing thin - because he's just a dickhead. An absolute undefendable dickhead whose ego has clearly become too big for him.
samjohnson Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I think that has to be the best race in Formula 1 history ever. 4 hour "race", 5:30hrs of BBC coverage and torrential rain in HD... Fantastic!

Brainy Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Yes, you would. You'd probably also bring out the mundane old 'Ferrari International Assistance' shit again if he wasn't. Never once said that. Go find a quote where i've said that. Oh, and in reference to an earlier post about being honest enough to accept Hamilton's fault in the Raikkonen incident three years ago....big woop. Two collisions on average per race? what? Hamilton's clocked up two races in his career?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 What a race. Best race i've ever seen. You can probably tell i'm not a big F1 fan.
