Great TV that was. A superb cheering at the TV moment when Vettel had his slip up on the final lap. That was great to see.

However, it is difficult to find a defense for Hamilton's actions in the race today. For me he was out of order. As if the issue with Webber was not enough, the warning signs were there, and then he goes and tries an overtaking manoeuvre on a part of the track ill suited to a pass - and in poor conditions. Highly naive to say the least. If anything, if he was to attempt a pass there, then overtaking to the right would surely have been the more viable option. Poor.

Never once said that. Go find a quote where i've said that.

You've made several references in the past to the stewards being biased towards Ferrari. I'd find examples if the search function was working!

Here's one, anyway:

No, they're showing consistency of always punishing McLaren for the littlest things, when Ferrari can do the same things and will just get fined or warned.

As far as im concerned the stewards can go **** themselves until they grow the guts to punish Ferrari.

...which clearly shows that point.

And not sure what you're getting at with the sunglasses; I'll just assume it was some vague attempt to be hilariously funny that's unsurprisingly backfired.

lol ok, three years ago. The days when you were fun to talk to about F1 but (and godknows why) you're a giant WUM. Things change aye?

I'm a giant WUM?

Says the one who blames Button for Hamilton's ridiculous overtaking attempt. lol

And in regards to Webber/Hamilton, for a start Webber gave Hamilton ample room for them to both get round the corner. In Singapore Hamilton didn't.

Pretty sure most of the members who post in this thread and see your posts will agree with me.

Perhaps, but that'd probably be more down to disagreeing with a deviation from social norms than actually agreeing with the point.

Hamilton's a mardy twat who needs to control himself... that's all I'm saying on that matter.

Aside from that, this was one of the best races of F1 I've seen for a LONG time. Button to come from 21st, 6 pit stops and still win over Vettel in the fashion he did... brilliant! My entire family literally jumped up and cheered as Vettel blew it!

Please God let a serious battle for the titles commence now! :chant:

Blinkered much!

The incidents were identical. In fact you could even argue Hamilton lost grip today's conditions and slid a little into Webber. Webber has no such excuses in Singapore.

Not really unsuitable part of the track to overtake, its 150+mph straight. Lewis had the jump on him and went for the pass, i'd hope any racing driver worth their salt would go for a gap if they saw it.

Not that I'm blaming Button though, just an unfortunate racing incident.

I've been following F1 for 21 years now and that is the best race I've ever seen. Button's drive from P21 to win was stunning. Previous best was Raikkonen's win at Suzuka in 2005 from the back of the grid, overtaking Fisichella on the last lap.

On the Hamilton subject, my respect for him has gone down a lot this year. Met him last season, made the effort to talk to me unlike some of the other drivers, but this season his attitude stinks, and some of his manouveres have been questionable.

Hamilton linked with Red Bull

lol lol lol

Would be fantastic to see the ikkle GB love-in end at McLaren.

However, I don't really feel Hamilton deserves a drive in the best car considering he's being such a prick.

Vettel's obviously at Red Bull for the long term, but I'd like to see someone else come in that deserves the opportunity to drive a really top car, maybe Rosberg?

I've also read somewhere that there's a possible link between Webber and Ferrari, which I'd hate to see really. In my heart of hearts I know Felipe'll be outta here when his contract expires (at the latest), and with Fernando signed-up long term I really, really, really hope they do the right thing and bring in Robert Kubica when he recovers to partner him

Robert Kubica in a Ferrari would make my heart melt. Definite future champion that boy, providing he can move his hand properly again.

Because the cars have a big impact on the race conditions, they help.

Plus you don't know what visibility will be like til the drivers get out there and it helps them get some heat back into the breaks before starting properly.

Sure, but the safety car was out so long yesterday that everyone just about immediately came in for intermediates (sic). Are we saying that F1 should never be raced on wet tyres now? :dunno:

That aside, was a brilliant race, up there with Spa 98 and Monaco 96 (when Panis won in a Ligier of all things.)

If you're on about hamilton's coming together with button being button's fault then what makes you think that?

Look at the line schumacher took, exactly the same as the one button was taking. It's hamilton's fault for attempting the most retarded over-taking manouvre i've ever seen, hamilton should have seen the line button was going to take (given that it's the same one most drivers were taking) and perhaps noticed that he'd be driving into a wedge and either take him or button off.

As for button looking to his left - there's a massive-ass pitboard for jenson at that point - i'd say there's a fairly good chance that button was looking at that board.

edit:

And trav, i'd imagine the reason most drivers came in for intermediates almost straight away is because they did so many laps behind the safety car that the main racing line had dried quite a bit.

Don't like Red Bull but I would jizz my pants to see Kobayashi in that good a car. Sod Rosberg! He won't leave MB for a while I fancy.

I dont think the red bulls are going to be as quick next year what with the fia banning that diffuser thing and making the exhausts longer & not flat. Something to do with giving the cars massive downforce through the corners(i know most of the other cars have it too but obviously they're not as advanced as RB) think they are banned for the british gp this year so we shall see. Totally agree about Kobayashi, put him in one of the top 4 cars and ive no doubt he would be up there challenging.

I know that Al, so it was like they were saying that F1 cars shouldn't race on wet tyres, they waited until there was almost a proper dry line. Schumey might have got a podium if they'd let them go earlier on proper wets.

Ah, misunderstood what you were getting at.

It does seem strange, when the cars have tyres specially for wet conditions they should have brought the safety car in earlier but even so, with the amount that can go wrong and the damage that can be caused when something goes wrong it does make some sense as to the FIA being somewhat cautious when sending the cars out in the conditions they had yesterday.

I'd be really annoyed if i'd booked flights to India . Hate Bahrain, boring featureless track

And furious I was. Thankfully India's pretty much back on :D

I was watching the race yesterday with my two mates who do Kamui Watch on Twitter at the BadgerGP event at that massive Sports Cafe on Haymarket in London. Awesome day, and completely ridiculous when you're supporting Button and Kamui lol

When we go to India we're going on a Kamui hunt in versions of this t-shirt in the colours of the Indian flag. I love Kamui
