  1. 1. Shock on the cards?

It's at times like this I like to stick on Escape to Victory, and replay the half-time 'Hang on lads, we can win this!' scene. Just a shame we haven't got Sly Stallone in goal to save the last minute penalty.

If we are expecting Howard to perform, we have had it and lose 3.0.

If Vassell is not injured then we still lose 3: 1

93rd minute, it's 0-0.

Vassell is fouled on the edge on the box. Gallagher steps up to take the free-kick and blasts it into the top corner, leaving Joe Hart with no chance right in front of the 6000 Leicester fans.

The end goes genuinely mental with some crowd surfing involved.

You heard it here first.

I'll be even more pissed off about missing it than i already am if this happens.

Still, two lessons to go then it's pubward bound.

If we start with Howard then I think we'll get thrashed, he offers no outlet whatsoever and the ball will come straight back at us. At least with Vassell the ball has to be played on the floor, he can control it, bring others into it, run into channels and go past people. Howard offers a target for a hoof <_<

Fingers crossed that jinxs it and Howard gets a couple.

If Howard starts its a right kick in the teeth for 6,000 travelling fans. I would rather see Gallacher or even Bamba given the strikers role.

Or anyone.

All this negativity about Howard is painful to read.

The simple factor about last game is that Man City failed at nearly everything in the air, Howard would dominate them in the air, however he would need support up top, as he won't be able to bring it down and hold it up long enough.

Man City struggle when they are attacked, Wolves hit 3 past them at the week (ok let in 4) but they point is, they struggle against numbers.

I'd rather lose 5-3 than 1-0 if we've gone for it.

Howard with Waghorn (Vassell if fit) & Dyer up top with him for me.

Howard is one of our best outlets!

When he plays deep he always gets the ball down and sticks it out to the wing or finds a clever pass. He can hold a ball up better than anyone else in our team.

Just can't score for shit

I think we'll be beaten with relative ease but I can always dream of a massive upset.

C'mon the foxes!! :scarf:

Whatever the team im sure all City fans (Leicester that is) will get behind the team and cheer them on. Good Luck to City and well done all the travelling fans, cheer them on and raise the roof when we get our consolation corner in the 82nd minute at 6-0 down (only joking lol)

Well Done on everyone going tonight - ~6000 is a top effort - in Jan, midweek and being on the telly.

Alas, I won't be one of them travelling - but I imagine it'll be like the Carling Cup @ Chelsea away a few years ago (which I went to) which was amazing - think we had about 5500 at that match.

Do us Proud

:scarf:

Took 6,500 that night to Chelsea. If we have half as good a night tonight as that then we're in for a cracker. Let's hope so.

I've only heard this from a mate but it he seems to think (and I've got no reason not to believe him) that The Yak's unavailable as a term of his loan agreement (which must mean he's recall-able) and Darius isn't fit yet. His seems to be of the belief that Waggy is going to start his last game for the club before going on loan to the Shaggers tomorrow. I've also heard QPR are interested.

On a side note - not a single player who was in the squad that night at Stamford Bridge is still at the club. It's been an eventful 3 years...

However, these are dirty rumours I've had only over text, whether they materialise remains to be seen. In all cases, I hope not.

If Waggy starts - we'll win it when Howard comes on with 10 to go. 3-2 Leicester.

If Howard starts - we'll win it in the first half and defend bravely second. 3-2 Leicester.

Come on City!

I don't know anything about the loan agreement, but I do know that Zecko geezer for Man City is also unavailable and i think thats because he signed after this round started. That said, I would expect Everton to have a recall clause on Yakubu and would only let him play in the cup if they were out - which they're not.

He was ok, but recently every time I have seen him we have been poorer with him on the pitch and our retention of the ball has gone to shit.... See first Man City game.

Well, in this blog Andy Gray tips Man City to win. So that's a win for us then...

Seriously, I'll be pleased if we keep it tight.

He says "In fairness, even though Manchester City went behind early on, they looked in control for most of the match".

Umm did they???

I'm not reading it if that's what he said.

What a twat.
