Fosse Boy Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Have a word. Thought our support was top notch tonight but if you were singing that then there's summat very wrong with you. Manchester brag about the Summerbee and Best, Then there's Arsenal, and Tottenham, and the Chelsea and the rest, But the team we wanna brag about's the team in royal blue, As the blues go marching ooooooooooon... GLORY GLORY LEICESTER CITY GLORY GLORY LEICESTER CITY GLORY GLORY LEICESTER CITY AND THE BLUES GO MARCHING ON! ON! ON!
lcfcadam Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Wot? no I fort singin da tune of de uva teem in de sity wos reely gud!!! Seriously though, the braindead chav levels amongst our home and away contingents are increasing to a worrying level. Being in K for Man City at home was literally like being in a Coventry comprehensive.

But you seemed to be getting on really well with that kid To be fair though I'd rather have the brain dead Chavs than boring tools that sing nothing
z-layrex Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 I just think most of the county are braindead chavs now, cheers labour.
ajthefox Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Fair enough it's not the best chant but it's better than doing nothing like their fans were
thybluefox Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Retarded chant, and from what I could tell it was only being sung by retards.
Tommeh Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Ddin't hear any chants like that around me, was right near City fans right hand side.....Few fools knocking around and couple of ghasty stand out yellow shirts but apart from that our end was class tonight. 6k all on feet our and very decent noise. Proud.
Tommeh Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 But you seemed to be getting on really well with that kid To be fair though I'd rather have the brain dead Chavs than boring tools that sing nothing Because we'd create a stunning atmsophere against Swindon at home on a Tuesday night in a cup replay, which is what this tie essentially was to them? City were decent tonight for what it was worth, proper football club.

But Swindon's a bit harsh, we are a pretty similar sized club to Man City if you take away the money. Swindon are just a lower league club.

Still similar though, we're a mid-table side of the league below at the end of the day. Like I say thought the home support was decent and all their fans we met before eand after were so proper. Gained alot of respect for them, fvck the money.

KFS Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 I just think most of the county are braindead chavs now, cheers labour. Are you referring to the labour sector?
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 As far as i remember we were singing ur just a shit man utd!! shit man utd!! ur just a shit man utd!!
lcfc_jme Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Yes there were chants of "You're just a shit Man United", but seriously, the "Glory, Glory Man United" made me sick. I genuinely love atmosphere at the football, for me it's one of the most important things about going to games - especially away - but I'd rather everyone sat down and sang fvck all than sing shit like that. It was literally the most tinpot, cringeworthy, embarrassing thing I've ever heard at a football match. Even more so than their end doing "eazeh, eazeh, eazeh" after their 3rd goal. Exceptionally poor effort on the part of everyone who joined in, and it wasn't like it was just a couple, 'cos it was pretty loud near where I was stood to the right of the goal. Shame as well, 'cos I thought our support last night was pretty damn good other than that, expected loads to be sat and not really joining in a la 5,000 away at Cov, but as far as I could see everyone was stood up and we were loud as fvck at times.

We didn't hear the "Glory Glory..." chant over the left side. People were getting a bit too excited about a ginger Man City supporter. The one thing that was disappointing was that less people joined in "When you're smiling..." than "ginger twat, your mum's got AIDs"

Alexikokopops Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 Disappointing but sadly wholly unsurprising. To be fair, everyone was giving it a good go, and everyone was standing and singing throughout. And there weren't many that joined in the AIDs song (just, sadly, less joined in WYS).
Trav Le Bleu Posted 19 January 2011 Posted 19 January 2011 But isn't this entirely similar to everyone who was saying "The Poznan is really cool, we should do the Poznan." At least with a song you can alter the lyrics. ('m not in favour of it either, just saying that the Poznan case is even more of a case in point.)

The one thing that was disappointing was that less people joined in "When you're smiling..." than "ginger twat, your mum's got AIDs" Shame really. I know I moan about modern football (no shit, right??) but last night shamlessly singing another teams' song without even attempting to alter the lyrics to apply to our own team was just extraordinary. That said, most of them also knew the lyrics to WYS, which is more than some of our away ends have managed in my time. Go figure!

"The Poznan" isn't a team specific thing though, it's done by many teams on the continent.
