LCFC_ANDY_20 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Hi, i was looking at the fixtures to see our remaining home games, and besides Norwich and maybe Watford. We should win at least 8 out of the 10, especially with our attack of Yakubu and Vassell. This means we only need to pick up draws on the road and we should comfortably make the play-offs. Plus were still waiting for the owners big name signing that will attract attention around the world.
FuriousFox46 Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 If the past's anything to go by we're more likely to beat Norwich and Watford and lose the other 6.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Must admit, at the moment, every home game I go to I feel we can win. Not sure if we'll quite win 8 out of 10 til the end of the season but I think there's a real chance we could go unbeaten for the rest of the year. Probably won't happen but I feel like we're a hard team to beat at home & we've been creating plenty of chances all year. Now we've got the Yak to stick them away, things are looking even more positive
shailen Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I think we will win 9 of the 10 at home qnd draw against norwich. On the road is a different story, hopefully we can at least draw against qpr and cardiff and then we got real chance of promotion.
sdb Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 lose tomorrow and personally, can;t see us making the top 6.
shailen Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 I predict a tough match 2mo, and can see us winning 2-0 at best. I didnt know milwall wre unbeaten in nine, but so were derby before we played them
ajthefox Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 rekon we'll win tomorrow but probably lose 1 by the end of the season
1991FOX Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 We should win 10 out of 10 at home. On a serious note, I am very optimistic and I genuinely think we can win 8 games but I'd be happy if we win 6 of them and draw the rest. I think we can win at least 3 or 4 away games if we keep on top at home..get some momentum! Whatever happens, the future is bright and exciting
shailen Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 We need to get at least 21 points fron the ten home games and another 15 from the away games to get play offs i think. Anything more is a bonus, the key is consistency
Jakemoore Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Millwall are in good form at the moment but supisingly they've only won 3 away games all season, and those 3 games came against bottom 3 opponents. We should win tomorrow.?
Thracian Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 What is it with our fans and chalking up points before we've played the games? And what chance is there of us having Yakubu and Vassell there as ever present's anyway? We're not even a good team yet, let alone one that's likely to go unbeaten for long. One glance at the league table offers the reality. We're six points off the pace necessary for a play-off place and most teams have at least one game in hand on us. Forest are above us and have three! We've lost 11 league games so far out of 27. What is there in our record to suggest we'll go more than three games without defeat? Yes, we're stronger at home but even then we've failed to win six of 13 Championship games at the Walkers so far. Winning all the rest is just hallucination. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/table/default.stm

It's hope. It's a bit of positivity which seems to be lacking in some places!
Thracian Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 How many of those were before Sven? It's not hallucination either. It's optimism. It's hope. It's a bit of positivity which seems to be lacking in some places! Please don't speak to me like Sven is some sort of managerial messiah. We've lost or drawn plenty since he's been here and he's made a good few tactical blunders in doing so. With the money he's be given Sven can hardly fail to take us forward. But it's faltering progress so far and I don't think the team is actually playing better or looking more of a unit than it did on occasions under the well-shafted Sousa. That doesn't mean I'm pessimistic. I'm not. It means that, while Sven undoubtedly gives the place a bit of charisma, I recognise mistakes will continue to be made and that that we're some way from having any logical chance of going on the sort of run that's been mentioned. Promotion is not impossible but it's unlikely and our chances will not be helped by fans adding to the pressure by saying we're going to do this or that cos it's years since we've delivered on any of it at a decent level,.
StanSP Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 I never said he was a messiah. I was pointing out that there's been a clear improvement since Sven's come in. It's obvious to see. The players are playing like a TEAM. They have more confidence with Sven at the helm than they did when Sousa was here. There's a connection and an affinity that Sven has worked to build in the short time he's been here so far. Our away form does leave a lot to be desired, of course, but I don't see why, based on Sven's home record so far in the league, we can't go unbeaten at home. It's the way records are built. As much as I don't like it, look at Forest's home record since last season, and maybe even before then. They've been unbeaten at home in the league in something like 40 games (could be wrong but I know it's been a hell of a long time). You think that at one time their fans may have said the same as you're saying - that home dominance isn't likely. Maybe that person is eating his words. And it's not like they've escaped their managerial controversies either - Davies has on a couple of times been expected to leave due to boardroom discrepancies. Anyway, I digress. All I'm saying is that even though you think it's unlikely we'll continue our good home form til May, stranger things have happened
Legend_in_blue Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 The games against tin-pot are the most dangerous at home. Starting with today. We'll be fine against the "bigger teams" as they'll come at us and that always suits. Tin-pot and all 11 including the subs it seems at times behind the ball and there's trouble.

Zingari Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 this is not another long term loan deal for an Ivory Coast player then ?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 A team with the players we have and our home record should expect to be able to beat anyone at home.

With the money we're spending it damned well should be good. I just don't think there's any evidence to suggest we'll go on a long unbeaten run while the team remains so unsettled and don't see the sense in adding to the pressure by making such predictions. The only game that matters right now is Millwall this afternon. Winning that will be hard enough. As for Sousa he had the team playing some outstanding football at times. And Sven has presided over some indefensible crap at times when we looked anything but a team. But that doesn't mean I hve no faith in him. With the unheaval going on at City there are bound to be hicccups. Which only emphasises why I'm concerned about today's performance - not the next 10 home games. Cos promotion this season, with its, hopefully, exceptional circumstances, will be an unexpected surprise to me, not something expected.
