MPH Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 I'd be looking to get Hobbs on now. agreed. we need a slightly cooler head than someone making a shaky debut to close this one out...
Babylon Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 He's 28. I just refuse to believe that... look at the man!!! He even has a patch appearing on the back of his head!!!!
Pegosteve Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 our midfield has disappeared this second half. They have stuck 5 in the midfield this half.
MPH Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 A Nigerian 28 though. i read somewhere that they do have evidence he is a genuine 28 not a Nigerian 28...
Babylon Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 What does that mean? It means take his passport age and add 10 years to it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Play the ball along the back if they're only playing one up front. No need to press with a two goal advantage. Let them tire themselves out. Counter attacking would seem the easiest route to goal now, when they've got bodies up the pitch.
MikeyT Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 It means take his passport age and add 10 years to it. I'm lost
Haydos Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Vassell looks like he's playing way too deep I'm lost http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/21/nigerian-football-age-old-problem
Babylon Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 I'm lost. I'm lost They put false birth dates on some Nigerian passports... so they say.
StanSP Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 I'm lost Nigerians (and maybe other African nations) seem to disregard the year any person was born and ages seem to work differently over there. Type in 'Kanu Real Age' in google or something.
Podge Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 What does that mean? Nigerian players lie about their age (allegedly), Reference Kanu, Yakubu and that crazy haired lad who used to play for AC Milan. If they say their younger than they are they seem more appealing to scouts of teams looking at them. Happens a lot with latin baseball players too.
Salieri Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Can't remember having a corner today Do you ever stop moaning?
MikeyT Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Vassell looks like he's playing way too deep http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/21/nigerian-football-age-old-problem Bit clearer now
Pegosteve Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Can't remember having a corner today Quite right!
StanSP Posted 22 January 2011 Posted 22 January 2011 Nigerian players lie about their age (allegedly), Reference Kanu, Yakubu and that crazy haired lad who used to play for AC Milan. If they say their younger than they are they seem more appealing to scouts of teams looking at them. Happens a lot with latin baseball players too. Well they're definitely going to lie about their age!
