Little Foxy Lainey Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 So who do we think will be the starting 11 at Derby tomorrow?

Little Foxy Lainey Posted 11 February 2011 Author Posted 11 February 2011 So who do we think will be the starting 11 at Derby tomorrow? What about Bamba?
ajthefox Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 providing Bamba isn't injured then the same 11 as Barnsley. If he is give Hobbs another chance to prove his worth.
Finchy Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Don't change a winning team, but if Bamba isn't up to it Bruma straight in. Although Sven is probably going to replace Mee with Bruma and Bamba will play.
Happy Fox Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 providing Bamba isn't injured then the same 11 as Barnsley. If he is give Hobbs another chance to prove his worth. Hobbs has probably left on loan now since Bruma has now arrived.
gazfox9 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Be nice to see: Weale Naughton Bamba Bruma Van Aanholt Abe Wellens King Gally Vassell Yakubu. I know Ben Mee has played pretty well for the last two games but I think Bruma may bring a bit more to the side, I don't think Sven's signed him to warm the bench.
Simmo86 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Dyer in for Big DV the rest the same as Barnsleh!
Dylan Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba/Bruma (depending on fitness) Mee van Aanholt Abe Wellens King Gallagher Yakubu Dyer Subs: Ricardo, Berner, Hobbs, Oakley, Vassell, Waghorn, Howard.

acooling08 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 I would rather see Oakley than Abe. I was watching our League 1 winners season DVD and Oakley is a good player and will score given an oppurtunity. Abe on the other hand has been poor the last few games. I don't like how unsettled our back 4 is!!
davieG Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Looking at OS photos Bruma looks decidedly right footed and with the imminent loaning of Hobbs I'd guess that Bruma is here primarily as cover for Bamba and Naughton, I can't see Sven dropping the left footed Mee for Bruma so I see the back four as Naughton - Bamba/Bruma-Mee-Aanholt Then it's just a case of whether he chooses to start Dyer

acooling08 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Can't say i agree with this, that was then and this is now. As I see it, a player who isn't playing well should lose his place in the team. At the moment Abe is playing poorly so Oakley should get a chance. He's been good over the seasons and has played well as a sub in our last two games.

I don't like how unsettled our back 4 is!! Oakleys goal tally in the championship for us over three seasons = 0. And remember his antics last time at Derby? No thanks, he has more passion for the Rams than us.

Confusingly I can only see left footed Mee being the make-weight.
Nick Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bruma Mee Van Aanhalt Bamba Wellens King Gallagher Vassel Yakubu Bench: Ricardo, Abe, Dyer, Oakley, Berner, Waghorn, Hobbs.

Very good player, he will definitely be playing, even it's on the left.

B52 Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bruma Mee Van Aanhalt Bamba Wellens King Gallagher Vassel Yakubu Bench: Ricardo, Abe, Dyer, Oakley, Berner, Waghorn, Hobbs. Leicester finest selection.
davieG Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Or Abe?... Likely, as long he is comfortable on the left.... Interesting times..... Abe - it's possible, unless he's carrying an injury I think he'll still start. If Bamba's fit he'll play with Bruma on the bench, I really can't see him dropping Mee for Bruma, at least I hope not what we need now is a degree of stability at the back.
martyn Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 Why, when Bamba has looked so good at centre half, are we suddenly shoehorning him into a midfield role? I'd only drop Abe if it's clear to Sven that he's in need of a rest. Oakley, despite his recent 50 minutes of decent football, is not dynamic enough, nor quick enough in possession to justify a starting berth in this current side. He has use as a substitute when he knows his minutes are limited and he can play with a much higher energy level than as a starter. Dyer in for Vassell would be my only change. If Bruma has to play, i'd rather it be at the expense of Mee.

Very concerned with Abe's form in the last couple of games, Sven praising Oakley might be something of a hint... Leaving the back 4 intact is very sensible, but I do not see Bruma sitting on the bench. Only arrived today so a decent excuse leave him out, for tomorrow at least!

Just that the arrival of Bruma opens up a mess of possibilities, specially as the concensus is that he is here to start, not cover Bamba / Naughton. He has only just arrived so there is no need for him to start tomorrow, so I would go with an unchanged side. Get Dyer on early if Vassell does not improve on last week.
