Edmund Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Eight legs six legs, eight legs six legs Left foot right foot, left foot, right foot.
gibwarrior1988 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Re: Left Centre Back, I know DavieG's theory about Hobbs not playing well at LCB and having his preferred side, whilst I'm sure that Hobbs is not the only player who has a preferred side, I think that we will see most players, especially more experienced/technically gifted players, will not have Hobbs' trouble adapting between LCB and RCB, for Bamba and Bruma, who are both very comfortable on the ball, it shouldn't be a big problem. Unfortunately for Hobbs it was, and this is probably why his place is being called into question. Stability will be more of an issue and knowing who is next to you and how they are playing, so I would expect Bamba to start with Mee, Bruma brought on later in the game if needed at RB or LCB. Other chages, I still think that PVA and Naughton are too attacking for an away game, especially one that may be as highly charged as Derby, I'm not sure what Derby's wingers are like but I would prefer Berner to start, more experience in these kind of games, and PVA brought on to run at the tired Derby defenders in the second half. I wouldn't change Abe at the moment, but another poor game today and I would change it for Bristol at home, he's had a weeks rest and training and I don't think the Derby game is the right one for Oakley's return to the side. Finally Dyer for Vassell. Weale Naughton - Bamba - Mee - BernerAbe - King - WellensGallagher - Yak - Dyer Which Hobbs hasn't had all season.
drc Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 If I understood it properly Bruma said on Foxesplayer that he probably will start on the bench today because he just had one traning session
BNET Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Weale Naughton, Bruma, Bamba/Vitor, Van Aanholt Oakley, Wellens, King Gallagher, Yakubu, Dyer Bench - Ricardo, Mee, Bruno, Abe, Vassell, Howard, Waghorn Just hoping Bamba and Vitor are fit, two quality players but Bamba is still fresh could well see him turn into what the SPL fans say of him. Oakley !!! are you kidding, he's the second biggest waste of space at the club.. Do you watch the games ? l cant believe anyone thinks that light weight should ever wear the blue shirt again.
cc_star Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Oakley !!! are you kidding, he's the second biggest waste of space at the club.. Do you watch the games ? l cant believe anyone thinks that light weight should ever wear the blue shirt again. Shows what you know, his last 2 appearances where he's replaced Abe (who's looking a bit 'leggy' recently) have been great.
shailen Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Oakley !!! are you kidding, he's the second biggest waste of space at the club.. Do you watch the games ? l cant believe anyone thinks that light weight should ever wear the blue shirt again. Have you been to the last two games. Abe is looking leggy and needs a rest i think. Oakley wouldnt be a bad shout, has done well recently
Simmo86 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Shows what you know, his last 2 appearances where he's replaced Abe (who's looking a bit 'leggy' recently) have been great. Wouldn't say he's been great. His goal line clearance against Sheff Yoo was heroic, but 1 decent shot against Barnsley doesnt make it a great performance. Ok to bring him on when we need some stability, wouldnt start him though.
cc_star Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Abe needs a rest, and for me Berner offers us more than PVA who whilst no doubt will be great, just hasn't found his legs for us yet Weale Naughton - Bamba - Mee - Berner Oakley - Wellens - King Gallagher - Yakubu - Dyer If we can't get a foot on the ball as often seems to happen away from home, I'd change it to below, dropping Gally & Dyer a bit deeper to pack the midfield a bit more, and whilst Yakubu is a class scorer, particularly at this level - but I've got the impression he may prove a bit of a luxury if we can't get our game going. Weale Naughton - Bamba - Mee - Berner Gallagher - Oakley - Wellens - King - Dyer Waghorn Subs: Vassell, Abe, PVA, Bruma, Waghorn
FoxesFan100 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 In all honesty, i can't see why anyone would change the team from last week, we won, why change a winning formula? Dyer as impact sub again would probably work a treat, who knows im not the manager.
FoxyPV Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 SSN - Bamba and Vitor are fit for today. I can't see Vitor starting after being out for so long but he'll probably feature at some stage. Weale Naughton Bamba Hobbs / Mee Van Anholt (?) - Would prefer Bruno but can't see him starting King Wellens Abe Gally Yakubu Waghorn
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Surely Bruma's best position would be sweeper I'll get me coat...
BNET Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Shows what you know, his last 2 appearances where he's replaced Abe (who's looking a bit 'leggy' recently) have been great. Your just daft !
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Weale Naughton Bamba Mee Van Aanholt Abe Wellens King Vassell Yakubu Gallagher Subs Bruma Ricardo Berner Dyer Waghorn Oakley Moussa
MikeyT Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Think we should keep the same team as the last few games. Mee had a shocker of a first game for us, but redeemed himself in the last game by all accounts (for us, not England U21's) . Either way, don't think we should change a winning team. No sense in it unless injuries.
teblin Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Get the feel Oakley will start today and we will have a good game following last seasons debacle. WealeNaughton Bamba Mee Van AanholtOakleyWellens KingVassell Gallyyakubu
Callabinho Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Whatever the team, we need the win absolutely! if results swing our way we could end up with one foot in the playoffs.
Fox1651 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Whatever the team, we need the win absolutely! if results swing our way we could end up with one foot in the playoffs. Heres hoping
Rich Fox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Chris Weale has been dropped, Ricardo playing bit unfair this. Oakley playing do not like this think we may lose now.
Kent Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Ricardo,naughton,mee,bamba,van aarnholt,oakley,wellens,king,vassell,gallagher,yakubu. Subs: weale,bruma,dyer,waghorn,berner,abe,moussa
gazfox9 Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Bit harsh on Weale maybe?? Yeah he's not had his best season but has looked pretty good the last few weeks. Oakley
Jackirius Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Oakley :frusty: Why have we left Weale out? Played fantastically the last few weeks.
One Arm Babba Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 hmmm interesting. I hope Oakley has a good game, no doubt a quality midfielder when he puts the shift in. Come on City!!!!
Legend_in_blue Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Oakley could barely last 60 minutes a game a year ago. How will a year further down the line change this? He's not up to it.
BNET Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 hmmm interesting. I hope Oakley has a good game, no doubt a quality midfielder when he puts the shift in. Come on City!!!! A quality midfielder !!!!! have you ever watched him play ? if so please tell me of any game he as been quality.
