Evening all,

Nice to see the Foxes charging up the table. I used to live in Leicestershire and went to Filbert Street a couple of times.

Anyway, how is our old boy Chris Weale doing? I know Chris personally and I don't think you could meet a nicer man. He was known as smiler down here.

Hope he is showing you all what we knew he could achieve all those years ago and hope he reaches the premiership with you too.

Top goal-keeper and has kept us in so many games in his time here.

We all know his weaknesses - long-shots. But everyone has their weaknesses don't they?

He's been working on that though, as we saw against Sheffield United.

I hope he stays for a long time to come. He doesn't deserve to be sold/dropped to be honest. Ricardo looked a bit dodgy but that may have been down to nerves against Derby.

Basically, I'm a fan of Chris :)

Seems to be getting a rough deal at the minute, we keep bringing in loan keepers who get straight into the team at his expense. Apart from a couple of errors (which all players make during matches, keepers seem more in the spotlight though)he is one of our most consistent performers and I feel quite sorry for him. Saved us many points/times in the past and hope he will in the future as well!

He is a very good 'keeper, who at times has had unfair criticism. He now has a very good defence in front of him.So let's hope he's not left too exposed, which at times has happened.Fully expect him to play on Friday.

Iffy from long shots, but a solid Championship goalkeeper. Considering some of the guff we've had in goal for the past few years (Rab Douglas and Paul Henderson spring to mind) he's a breath of fresh air

Totally agree with this, he's not been perfect but he's recieved unfair criticism and has actually saved our bacon numerous times, particularly last season.

I hope he's here for the long run.

Well you tell him that the majority of us think he's great and has been ousted unfairly out of the starting 11

Gets beaten a lot from range, doesn't command his area brilliantly.

Some games he looks like he could drop a clanger at any minute, in others he looks unbeatable.

Last season he was immense in wins at Reading and Blackpool in particular, and at Sheffield United this season.

I like him, he's done a good job overall, especially as a free signing.

There's no doubt that he's conceded a few from long range but at the same time I wouldn't take much away from the quality of the strikes ..

In certain games he looks like he'll never be beaten, probably the best keeper we've had at the club for a while

Yeah i agree with StanSP - Weale is a good keeper and most City fans rate him, apart from the odd long range shot that seems to beat him he is top quality

He is a good steady keeper and has done us proud in 90% of the games he has played for us and lets be honest even the best keepers make mistakes

He's kept us in it a few times (Reading away etc) but I never really rated him from the start.

He doesn't really communicate, he is slow to distribute the ball and then when he does its often a long goal kick which comes back (more training fault though) and I'm never comfortable when someone shoots from distance. In my opinion he is a decent goalkeeper, good backup, but nothing more.
