MikeyT Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 1-1 final score. Actually felt a bit like a defeat. Could have and probably should have won. Discuss.
topharry123 Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Defence seems like a liability, Van Aanholt is a waste of time. Bring back Berner and Weale.
Finchy Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Same as the last time we played them then. They are so bad it's annoying we've not beaten them twice.
lavrentis Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Disappointed but gained a point on Leeds. Burnley on our arses as well.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Always draw with them chavs FFS.. but then again at least they still haven't won here. We can go to QPR and do it !
bardonfox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 That match was torture to watch. That's all I can say
jonthefox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Agreed. so many chances. Maybe yakubu should look at his own performance today.
Fox 4 Life Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Shit, we have been poor in the last few games. Massive opportunity to draw level on points with Leeds, teams around us win also.... not a good day.
Jackirius Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 All our own fault. Should have scored 4 or 5 in the first half. Penaltys turned down. Shit keeping. Van Aanholt wasted so many chances.
CKB Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Disappointed, on chance basis we should have won but haven't.. Chaventry offered nothing second half and most of the game TBF and shut up shop to get a point.. We just couldn't get that bit of luck and the other rubbish thing is we haven't took advantage of Leeds losing today instead we are 2pts behind them now
Sylvie85 Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Difficult not to be all doom and gloom. Can't help but feel extreme dissapointment. Not just that it was against the shit but because with L**ds getting beat earlier we could have really turned the screw with a win today. Now we have to beat QPR, Forest, Norwich and Burnley. Is a huge let down and extremely deflating.
MikeyT Posted 26 February 2011 Author Posted 26 February 2011 Massiverly frustrated i blame Jackirus I wish to blame someone so this will do.
ealingfox Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 We will lose to QPR, Norwich and Forest without a significant improvement of form. Don't feel any unity or spirit amongst the team, they play like a group of mercenaries. There's still time for things to really change, but only a couple more performances like that will ensure we don't make the play-offs.
Joe. Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Disappointing, means we have to go to QPR and avoid defeat really to keep any kind of momentum going. Naughton MOTM for me today, put in a shift down the right and got himself a cracking goal. Should have won probably reflecting on Bamba's chance which hit the post, Van Aanholt's wild effort near the end and a couple of others which could have gone in easily. Coventry had their 5-10 minute spell in the second half which we managed to deal with reasonably well, but aside from that they didn't offer a great deal. They'll no doubt be happier with the point than us. We just didn't really do enough to get all three today.
Danny632 Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Patrick Van Aanholt is an absolute disgrace. One of the worst performances I've ever had the displeasure of seeing in a City shirt not including Matt Oakley or Junior Lewis
Libertine Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Very annoying to waste this opportunity, with the next few games we have. If we lose next week, Burnley (who have Palace at home) could go above us and still have 2 games in hand. Still. Nowhere near over yet.
Drift Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Nothing much to add. Pretty angry about that result. We should have destroyed them.
Joe. Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Patrick Van Aanholt is an absolute disgrace. One of the worst performances I've ever had the displeasure of seeing in a City shirt not including Matt Oakley or Junior Lewis Eh? He was a bit erratic going forward, but to describe it as one of the worst performances you've ever seen is way over the top. He barely put a foot wrong at the back, which is the predominant task you ask of your left-back. Stop being so bloody dramatic.
savedave Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 This was never going to be easy. We have to stay positive - I think we can get something from QPR.

Haydos Posted 26 February 2011 Posted 26 February 2011 Horribly frustrating. PVA disappointing with the final ball. Naughton couldn't do much more again. 1 slack moment cost us again, felt they offered very little apart from a spell in the middle of the first half. To be fair we played alright, created chances but didn't convert. Can't be arsed to try and read much more into it, was to busy jumping up and down off the sofa. Missed out on going level with Leeds but we've gained another point on them, still a long way to go though
