King, Wellens and Abe have all played a lot of games this season.

King got into a lot of promising positions today and I don't think he looked any worse than Abe or Wellens. He was on the end of a lot of moves so I honestly didn't think he looked tired. (Any more than he normally does  )

if i was svennis i'd be scouring the free agents list for a midfielder - or consider loaning one in much as i hate the number of loans we've already got. Bert is spot on, King was half a yard off today - We'll need some help in midfield between now and the end of the season and unfortunately Oakley isn't it.

We can't begin to consider resting him until Scunthorpe.

I think we'd probably have to move Gallagher into his role for any games he missed or play 4-4-2

Our midfield is a strange one for me. Abe, King and Wellens can all be class, but then on other occasions they seem to lose control of games quite easily. I tend to think we need a real presence in the midfield with Wellens and King to take us to the next level. Perhaps we should try Bamba in there with Bruma and Mee at CB.

Kingy is fantatsic but still needs to do a bit more for me. He has all the attributes to be more influential in games i'm sure he wll develop but I think we need a bit more from him.

I agree he does need a rest but who should replace him because our only midfield cover is Oakley and he is 1. not good enough and 2. can't lay that role. with Moussa out on loan do we have an attacking mid at the club apart from King

King was actually OK today, fairly typical if unspectacular performance.

The only difference was that he did not score, missed one decent chance and could not quite get on the end of a couple more.

That made the difference, had he scored the winning goal.....:dunno:

If he is blowing a bit, is it any surprise really?

He's been an absolute ever-present in midfield for THREE seasons, and the number of games he has missed can probably be counted in single figures. It's a remarkable achievement but he isn't Superman, it's going to show eventually. The problem is, when the hell can we rest him? Resting him on Saturday would be suicide and resting him the following Tuesday would be risky to say the least. The next opportunity would be at Scunny but I still wouldn't advocate his total dropping from the squad and he'd be among the first chaps off the bench if needs be.

Personally think the whole middle 3 are looking knackered!

Two of them were involved in a non-event of a pre-season whilst Abe's had little rest considering the J League's calendar and his World Cup part.

Well they've got a whole week off now so no excuses next Saturday.

(apart from the fact that we are playing top of the league obviously)

Oakley!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nooooo please, I'd rather have a tired Abe- Oakley's touch is shocking and his lightweight. If you drop Abe you play Bruma with Bamba and Mee centre backs. Bruma played well against Cardiff and looks comfortable on the ball and has a rocket shot. He also lets Bamba go forward on the ball and Bruma can just cover him.

Dyer- even worse call. 2 chances in the last 2 games to prove his worth to Sven and both times he has gone unnoticed. Not strong enough and has poor distribution and his finishing isn't strong. Personally after the game he had on Sat I would stay with Vassel- he adds a touch of quality and the threat of just rotating with the Yak. Or if you for some reason want to drop Vassel atleast give Waggy his well earned chance. He should be higher up the order than dyer.
