zubi Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Really not sure how true this is... I hate the Sun newspaper in general Did any one see Hodgson on tuesday in the stands? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3456952/West-Brom-will-battle-Everton-for-Andy-Kings-signature.html
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Demand £5 million, anything around that and we'd be stupid not to bite their hands off.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 And replace him with who? West Brom just became my new favourites for relegation. Any deal could involve Graham Dorrans or Chris Brunt. If you're after a midfielder we could buy from the cash, that has experience at this level, there's McGugan, Lansbury, Howson, Snodgrass, and Whittingham, for starters. Get enough money and we could sign a decent forward, too. If you're after a few that have excelled in the lower leagues this season that could be picked up for nominal fees, the likes of Dean Cox from Leyton Orient and Elliott Bennett from Brighton are both very talented and shouldn't find the transition too difficult.
Mack Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Hodgson was at the game in the week. I am starting to get very worried about this summer.

Oh right you actually have suggestions..I wasn't really prepared for that so errm.. Wouldn't have though Kingy would be Hodgson's type of player really. Far too attack minded and exciting. I'd imagine Oakley would probably be more up Roy's street.
Ozwin Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Not looking forward to the summer at all. Sven might leave, best players might leave, we might end up looking at surviving rather than getting promoted next season.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Might. And that is an extremely unlikely 'might.' Sven won't walk.
cc_star Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Demand £5 million, anything around that and we'd be stupid not to bite their hands off. I agree, we need to rebuild massively in the summer. I would prefer King to be our attacking midfielder but if we can get a load for him - and re-jig I'd be in favour

Houdini Logic Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Hodgson was at the game in the week. Good - may have improved our chances of holding onto King
thybluefox Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Yeah I spotted Hodgeson at the Narrch game, could be interesting come the summer....we won't lose Sven though, which means we won't be losing many players either. IMO, I'm not sure how King would do in the Prem tbh.
breadandcheese Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I saw Woy walking into the club reception. If we get a fair offer of £5m+, then we should accept as it's a good price for King and allows him to further his career after he's helped us get promoted and reestablished in the championship.

The following are still under contract next season: Neilson Berner Howard Dyer Hobbs Logan Oakley Moreno N'Guessan Hopefully we'll lose a lot of players.

Ricey Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 It's probably inevitable that if we don't go up King and Wellens will leave. Add to that most, if not all, the loan players leaving it leaves us with a lot of rebulding to do.

How would going to West Brom allow him to further his career?

Hopefully we can get some decent money for him and get in a player that plays well for more than 20 games a season. We are too reliant on him for the ability he has anyway hence when he plays shite so do we.

The Sven Revolution Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 The Thai boys wont let that happen. Let the Thais come out and say that..I haven'y heard them say..we back Sven whatever happens in the next 10 games..and if Sven sees that the backing from the owners is not forthcoming..well..mid-table PL clubs might come sniffing for him..
blueredswed Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 Hodgson was at the game in the week. I am starting to get very worried about this summer. Why? I´m looking forward to what´s gonna happen! Easy come easy go but Leicester BLUE will get forward during 2010-2011 Come on

Do you feel so insecure that they need to?
Bugg Posted 10 March 2011 Posted 10 March 2011 I'd rather they not come out and say they are backing the manager. Seems just the same as the dreaded "vote of confidence"
