We have to many bits and pieces players, the likes of Wellens, Gallagher, King etc, who are okay but they often go missing in games. We donb't have sufficent people who can chip in when we have to scrap a game out. Yakubu and Vassell are good players, that are just not performing well at the moment. Waghorn is the new Hume. I didn't rate Hume, he ran around alot and was always out of position. The crowd loved him becuase it looked like he cared. All in all, neither are great players that were ever going to score / generate enough goals to be a decent goal scorer in this league. Naughton is decent going forwards, suspect defending. When you analysis it, we scraped a few lucky point here and there and our luck has dried up. Sven needs to build for next season and build a team with players we own and have not borrowed from every many and his dog.

If someone had said to you after nine games, you'd have Sven as a Manager heading into next season and you'd finish mid table, you'd have snapped their hand off.
