England v 'Wales

Think you're either blind or being incredibly close minded, to be honest.

Ramsey's final ball wasn't as clinical as it should have been, no, but given the amount of time he's had out it's not really surprising that he's still finding his feet. But the important thing to consider with both Ledley and Ramsey is the fact that they were trying their best in a team that were just ridiculously, ridiculously out classed - both in terms of personnel on the field but also in organization off it.

Very, very harsh and - frankly - just plain ignorant to call him unbelievably bad. In contrast, what did Wilshere do? A few through balls that went straight to Hennessey and otherwise very, very quiet. Didn't go looking for the ball in the same way and didn't come anywhere near as close with his one effort on goal.

All of that aside, thought England were professional, precise and well organised. I thought Parker, Bent and Young did very well and for your sakes it'd be good if they get a lot more game time now after this.

Nope, sorry i'm not having it. They were woeful. Sure the whole team was, but they were the main culprits, as well as the best players on paper. I didn't say Ramsey was 100% fit, i'm sure he's not. But he was terrible. His pass completion rate could've been negative it was so bad. He tried to dictate the game on his own, ran into cul-de-sacks, lost possession time and again. Also point out where I mentioned Wilshere?

That's how I saw it.

Work on your reading comprehension and then come back, mmh? Not for one moment suggesting Ramsey had a cracking game and haven't said so anywhere. What I'm saying is that Wilshere didn't look the better player, despite playing for the side that was far more comfortably in possession and having had a pre-season and months of top-flight, competitive football before hand.

Fetch a better fishing rod and try again, kiddo.

I'm not just commenting on what I read in that post but your general contribution throughout this thread. Your constant defending of Ramsey who was awful today and hardly set the world alight at Forest and Cardiff is ridiculous and then to claim that Wilshere did 'nothing' apart from a few heavily weighted through balls is just ludicrous. You are the ignorant one. Just come off your pedestal and admit that at this moment in time Wilshere is better than Ramsey. Jealousy is an awful disease.

England didn't really have to do much today, Wales were outclassed, as it was always going to be. Wales literally did nothing, not that I'm surprised by that, I was expecting much. Thought Wilshere had a really good game in midfield, I couldn't care less about Ramsey if I'm honest, at the end of the day it was an easy win which we all expected.

England gave up after then 2nd goal, was game over. I think, and have been told, so did I, can't remember a thing after it.

Agreed we only played at full tilt for 20 odd minutes and did'nt need to do anything more.

It is probably the most abject performance by a home nations team against England I can remember.

Speed is way out of his depth, and given the way the backwards ***** booed the National anthem of the United Kingdom I am delighted for the lot of them.

I was fuming.

Just because GSOQ is the anthem of the union doesn't mean the welsh should respect it, nor should any of the other countries in the union.

GSOQ is the english national anthem and should only be regarded as such, the welsh have their own national anthem and should respect that more than yours.

Parker justified his inclusion today, was really impressed with his harrying and breaking up of play. Stifled so much and gave the back four more than adequate protection. Hope he keeps his place.

Bent took his goal fairly well, much prefer him to Crouch, he just looks so much more mobile. Fingers crossed he can start to find his club form at international level, England have been desperate for a consistent goal scorer since Rooney's form tailed off.

Glen Johnson also looked sharp, although I'd have rather seen Richards in the right back slot.

Overall a professional, oragnised win, in which it looked like we never really got out of second gear. There'll be far bigger tests than a Welsh side sans Bale. They looked dismal though. Who thought Gary Speed was a good idea?!

What a load of bollocks.

I noticed you called me "ill educated" on another thread, look in the mirror son.

The home nations have NATIONAL SONGS, their NATIONAL ANTHEM for them all is God Save the Queen.

I take from what I read you love the Scot's, are you actually Scottish?

If so, I also take it you live here (England) if you are or aren't but just love Scotland, why are you living in England seeing as Scotland are all high and mighty?

Racist :P

I mean I'm not the biggest England fan as you can tell by my posts but don't understand your Scot love/English hate.

I hate Scotland but I don't live there, the fact so many Scottish live here (England) but slag England off just makes me laugh and seems abit backwards, don't get me wrong I've slagged England off many times but I havn't moved here from another country and slagged it off, if I had I'd move back there, if infact you are English but have Scottish family and that's where the Scottish love-in comes from I pose the same question why don't you **** off there, and before anyone (if anyone) brings the why don't I **** off to Australia, believe me if it was as close as Scotland I'd be there now.

So you were born in Coventry and you grew up and live in England now?

You're not 'sort of' Scottish, you're English. Forget all the hate and learn to love and accept the country of your birth. :D

no i'm not - throwing in place of birth i may be slightly more english than scottish but i have enough scottish decendesce (sp) to shun the english and justifibly consider myself scottish.

So from someone who was born and raised in this country, where has all this hatred come from?

Your english. Man up.

When your avatar thing goes into a war, it makes me want to smash my screen! lol.

Hating the english arrogance, your nation's "fans" who believe they have a divine right to success despite only doing well in 2 or 3 international tournaments in the last 81 years, the way the press seem to back up that idea and your players are completely unrespectable.

Your english. Man up.

I'm going to say this as slowly and clearly as possible:

I am not, nor will I ever be, english.

Actually as far as I'm aware there is no law to say GSTQ is the either the official anthem of the UK or England and the same goes for any of the other nations "anthems", they are all de facto.

And it's what pisses people off, that England use the same unofficial anthem as the UK as a whole while the others have their own separate anthems.

My view from the stands was that Ramsey is obviously a good player but he really was poor in his execution today. I suspect that he was suffering from a mix of lack of match fitness, trying too hard and a distinct lack of class around him. Two of those shortcomings will right themselves in time but I cannot see any hope for the latter.

That is the worst opposition that I have seen England play and by some distance.

For my money, Parker and Wilshere were immense as was Young. The problem though is that on Wales' showing today, Junior Lewis could have bossed the midfield so today's performances should be taken in context.

I'm afraid you can dress it up all you like but, love it or (obviously) hate it, you ARE English. Hating the English is just hating yourself.

Wow. Way to stereotype.

You really do come across as petty with all these pathetic rants about 'English arrogance.' It's almost as if you've read something in the Sun, and bracketed everyone that supports the English football team in the same group, as some sort of braindead.

Perhaps if you took into consideration those of us who don't form opinions on what the majority of the media says, you wouldn't be so ignorant. It'll never happen, though.
