ozleicester Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 WTF is Hart playing at.. punching the fooking thing.... Greeeeennnnn, Greeeeennn,,,
sdb Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Aaron Ramsey has been unbelievably bad imo. Ledley and Morrison too. Not to mention Danny Collins
Webbo Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Professional win. Thought we were worth another goal.
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Reminiscent of Derby/Leics this season. One team just so much better than the other, did all they needed to do comfortably. Young was my MOTM, thought he was a constant threat.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 It's a cracking 'do innit? It's that wedge across the back that really makes it!
Wymsey Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Not a performance to worry about. Loved the passing that lead to Bent's goal. King struggled on the right and the Bellamy pass to him that went for a goal kick just showed his weakness is his pace. Also i hope they find the cvnt that directed a laser beam towards Wiltshire's and Parker's face.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Aaron Ramsey has been unbelievably bad imo. Ledley and Morrison too. Not to mention Danny Collins Think you're either blind or being incredibly close minded, to be honest. Ramsey's final ball wasn't as clinical as it should have been, no, but given the amount of time he's had out it's not really surprising that he's still finding his feet. But the important thing to consider with both Ledley and Ramsey is the fact that they were trying their best in a team that were just ridiculously, ridiculously out classed - both in terms of personnel on the field but also in organization off it. Very, very harsh and - frankly - just plain ignorant to call him unbelievably bad. In contrast, what did Wilshere do? A few through balls that went straight to Hennessey and otherwise very, very quiet. Didn't go looking for the ball in the same way and didn't come anywhere near as close with his one effort on goal. All of that aside, thought England were professional, precise and well organised. I thought Parker, Bent and Young did very well and for your sakes it'd be good if they get a lot more game time now after this.
Webbo Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I can see England completely ****ing this one up. For christ's sake never apply for a job as a tipster.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 no doubt the welsh have their excuses/reasons (small country/young team, coleman's patented 'shellshocked from the early goal' ), and yes they made a bit of a go of it 2nd half, but that was probably the easiest game england will have this tournament. England effectively stopped trying after the second goal and still looked the more likely to score. nice passing and moving, shame the defence wasn't tested as that has been our weekness for years-
The Doctor Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Having watched that i don't understand the hype about wilshire. Disappointing game, king didn't do much and england didn't get humiliated.
Libertine Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Thought Ramsay did alright tbh. He's already a decent player but he will be fantastic in a few years, I'm sure.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Thought Ramsay did alright tbh. He's already a decent player but he will be fantastic in a few years, I'm sure. Said it before, sayin' it again, he'll be back to keeping Wilshere in the reserves again in no time.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I suppose it is a big game, especially for Norway who haven't been in such a good position in a long time. I don't think we're more gentlemanly than in Britain, but rather more childish. There's no real hatred as you say, it's more 'brotherly rivalry' and it seems ridiculous the way the medias are trying to build up something that isn't there. I do appreciate the banter between the players though, which is all in good spirit. The injuries might put a dampener on the game as you say. Hopefully the likes of Gamst, Abdellaoue and C. Eriksen can add a bit of flair to teams that look completely devoid of any. Agreed, Norway are playing typical Drillo footy, and have very little creativity in the midfield (please call up Fellah!) but have a young improving team, capable of holding on and nicking goals, no doubt it'll be close tonight but i have a feeling it might be a bit spicier than usual.

You're the ignorant one saying that Wilshere did nothing and then making out that Ramsey did well. Did you not see Wilshere dominate Iniesta and Xavi at the Emirates? Ledley is awful. Ginger Collins is awful, now I can see why Villa have been struggling. I think you'll find there's a difference between somebody saying Ledley was awful and then what you consider as 'trying their best'. Yeah I could try my best but I'd be crap! Finally Capello has picked a side based on form and the best players suited to the relative positions. Parker, Bent, Young and Wilshere have all taken their chances well.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I thought Wilshere had a really good game - considering England played in first gear for 75 minutes, there was no real need for him to be chasing and creating. Can't fault any of the England lads, clinical and adequate and 3 points in the bag in a game that really could have seen us slip up - that the welsh couldn't get hyped up more in their, ahem, cup final was pretty poor.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 You're the ignorant one saying that Wilshere did nothing and then making out that Ramsey did well. Work on your reading comprehension and then come back, mmh? Not for one moment suggesting Ramsey had a cracking game and haven't said so anywhere. What I'm saying is that Wilshere didn't look the better player, despite playing for the side that was far more comfortably in possession and having had a pre-season and months of top-flight, competitive football before hand. Fetch a better fishing rod and try again, kiddo.

Wilshire played well today, plenty of tidy passing and always available. I think you're the one who's being close minded and ignorant.
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Wilshere played well, Ramsey would have played just as well if he was playing with Lamps, Rooney, Young and Bent up ahead of him instead of just Steve Morison.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Is this a serious comment? Yes. I'm not for one moment suggesting he was poor, but he was very quiet; England looked much more threatening elsewhere. Wilshere played well, Ramsey would have played just as well if he was playing with Lamps, Rooney, Young and Bent up ahead of him instead of just Steve Morison. Exactly what I'm getting at.

Corky Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Parker looked very comfortable, improvement on Gareth Barry for sure. Ashley Young was our biggest threat.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Parker looked very comfortable, improvement on Gareth Barry for sure. Ashley Young was our biggest threat. Agree with both of those comments. Thought Ashley Young looked very, very good to be fair. Needs to do it against world class opposition, though, not Gunter, heh.
Bert Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Wilshere had a better game than Ramsey. Fact. Too easy for England.
