Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 If anyone wants a decent link, looks fine full screen, sopcast channel 82153 sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/82153 Not a bad game so far, England need to keep the pressure up at the start of the second half, Wales will have a couple of chances so need to come out and finish the game off. That's what I'm watching. It's about a minute behind and it's ESPN, not Sky, but the quality is practically HD by stream standards. Why is King playing out wide? Seems like they wanted to accomodate him some where so just stuck him on the wing. Bet he gets taken off. Lack of options, really. I'm a little surprised we didn't play Robson-Kanu but, to be fair, Robson-Kanu is complete dog.
Corky Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Stroll for England, what a pass by Johnson for Young to set up Bent.

Webbo Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I'd like to see us score another one so we can give some of the fringe players a game.
davieG Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Amazed it took us 45 minutes to try a long ball to Morrison. I hate long ball football but when you're hugely the weaker side and you've got a man like him up front, why not use him? In what way? He's been anonymous except for one over hit pass. I didn't even realise Wiltshire was playing until he got that injury.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 [hijack]Sweden and Norway have their beef, but only really since Norway gained independence in 1905. Before that Norway had been vassals of Denmark and Sweden for a combined 500+ years. The 'superpowers' that have warred furiously countless of times since the Middle Ages are Denmark and Sweden. Nowadays it's mostly banter though, but you do get some vitriol at Denmark - Sweden games.[/hijack] Does anyone have a good stream for the Wales - England game? to me it seems the difference here is that the rivalries are more gentlemanly than in GB, there is a massive desire to beat each other but very little of the hatred and antagonism as between england/wales/scotland. The newspapers have been doing a countdown to tonight's game, like it was the world cup final or something - i guess the norwegian people are quite excited at the moment due to being so superior to sweden and denmark these days As for tonight's game, sadly it looks like the amount of players out injured could have the biggest impact on the result.
Bugg Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Why haven't they got Ledley on the wing with King in the middle? bizarre.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 fair enough but sticking king on the wing was ridiculous to say the least - if you had to stick with the 4-5-1/4-3-3 you should at least have put king in cm and ledley out on the wing. If Ledley was playing as an attacking midfielder then I'd agree with you, Ledley is much better than King out wide. But like or not, City fans, the fact of the matter is that Ledley's just better than King all round. He's far better in a holding, defensive role and that's what we need Ledley to do today. Granted it's not particularly working but there you go. King is poor defensively but his movement off the ball is pretty good, he can strike a ball well and he'll push forward into the box and get on to the end of balls in from the opposite winger should we get the chance. It's not ideal but, eh, if you've got lemons...
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 oh, and chris coleman is the worst summariser i have heard in years...
VinceNoir Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Good play from King against Ashley Cole! Maybe being biased but he seems to be the least crap of the welsh players today.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 See? That's what I'm talking about. That off the ball movement, that's one way he is better than Ledley. Unlucky not to do better.
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Unfortunate for King, he made a good run, was found in behind, looked up, and the next most forward player was around the centre-circle. Shooting was his only option really, unlucky.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 i'm so out of touch with english footy, but is parker really our best option in that role - what's happened to carrick, barry and hargreaves?
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 i'm so out of touch with english footy, but is parker really our best option in that role - what's happened to carrick, barry and hargreaves? Shit, shitter and injured. Parker's been putting in performances at West Ham week in week out.
Joeb.lcfc Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Top Stream if anyone needs one ----------->My link
ScouseFox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Steve fucking Morrison. Why isn't Church playing? Or why hasn't he brought him on yet? It's clear for all to see that Morison's shit. Morison off Evans on. Oh and inabit Kingy.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Said he would come off. Probably a good thing, no point him needlessly runnig around, gives him a bit of a rest.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Why isn't Church playing? Or why hasn't he brought him on yet? It's clear for all to see that Morison's shit. Church is alright, one for the future, but a little bit raw. Glad to see Ched Evans back in the side, he's got a lot of class when he's on form. Amazed Vaughan didn't start, really am, he's been good for Blackpool this year.
Lillehamring Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 oh my god, vaughan is the new peter beardsley :w00t:
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 oh my god, vaughan is the new peter beardsley :w00t: It's a cracking 'do innit?

I suppose it is a big game, especially for Norway who haven't been in such a good position in a long time. I don't think we're more gentlemanly than in Britain, but rather more childish. There's no real hatred as you say, it's more 'brotherly rivalry' and it seems ridiculous the way the medias are trying to build up something that isn't there. I do appreciate the banter between the players though, which is all in good spirit. The injuries might put a dampener on the game as you say. Hopefully the likes of Gamst, Abdellaoue and C. Eriksen can add a bit of flair to teams that look completely devoid of any.
