davieG Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Sven's lost the plot Andy fooking invisible King FFS
wurmer Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Only seems to become invisible when Yakubu is around.....
Tom17LCFC Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Quality news! I don't care if he's been quiet lately, he is and will be an absolutely star player!!
ozleicester Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 a long contract makes him slightly more expensive and therefore more valuable to us when the bids come in over the summer
Kingylcfc Posted 21 March 2011 Author Posted 21 March 2011 a long contract makes him slightly more expensive and therefore more valuable to us when the bids come in over the summer my thoughts exactly
VampLCFC Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 my thoughts exactly I think that might go for King, Wellens and Gallagher, get them all on big long contracts because maybe all 3 are on the way out in the summer?? Then we can sell them for more. If we don't go up this season (looking very likely) and Sven stays, which I think he will, I can see pretty much an entire new starting XI next season, few buys, few loans. Sven will obviously want to bring in as many of his own players as possible and not use Pearson's or Sousa's players. We've already seen this, Weale, Fryatt, Hobbs, Waghorn, Neilson, Lamey, Moussa, N'Guessan, Berner, Morrison, Howard....... Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 March 2011 Posted 22 March 2011 I'd genuinely be a bit pissed if we sold Moussa without giving him a fair run in the team, especially considering he seems to be doing fairly well at Donny Rovers.
MikeyT Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Wellens, Gallagher and now Oakley all signed new extensions. Why not Mr. King yet?!
Stevosevic Posted 24 March 2011 Posted 24 March 2011 Wellens, Gallagher and now Oakley all signed new extensions. Why not Mr. King yet?! King said that he will sign once he returns from international duty. Good to keep such a promising young player, but get some hard bastard in the summer to be captain.
21st Century Fox Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 Leicester City midfielder Andy King will sign a contract extension with the Championship club, despite interest from Everton and West Brom. Daily Mirror

Izzet was the perfect example of a captain who wasn't a 'hard bastard' but was still very effective. Let Kingy Keep it.
Guest bennytwohats Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 Why? Izzet was the perfect example of a captain who wasn't a 'hard bastard' but was still very effective. Let Kingy Keep it. It looks like they're lacking a leader out there at the moment. I'm a massive fan of King, but i'm not completely convinced he is the right man to be captain.
The Doctor Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 being captain isn't just about shouting and bawling - being a vocal leader but also about leading by example. Does king lead by example? Debatable, he does get about the pitch, helping break up attacks in our half and getting involved in them in the oppositions half but he doesn't seem like the type to, if the game isn't going well for us. grab the game by the scruff of the neck and be the one to get the team going again. The captaincy is something to consider for next season but well down the list really.

The Doctor Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 true but it does seem that a lot of the players we've had in the last 5 or 6 years would look to the captain to do so rather than doing so themselves, Not like the days of Taggart & Elliott (although i only saw them together for 1 season).
