Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 March 2011 Posted 31 March 2011 Anyone saying Burrda isnt that bad needs to take a long, hard look at the yellow kit. Hideous THIS.
Finnegan Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 The Fox Leisure stuff was great quality. Still going strong today after numerous washes. The only issue was the walkers crisps badges got dirty really easily. Even the Joma stuff was good apart from the printing, which is starting to fade. The Nike and Addidas stuff is obviously usually pretty well made but they are all identikit of several thousand football clubs worldwide with the team colours thrown on. E.g. The new Chinese kits : http://www.footballshirtculture.com/11/12-kits/chinese-super-league-roundup-2011.html I am being a bit unfair, perhaps, I do think Fox Leisure came up with some reasonable designs. But since then it's just been utterly terrible, second or third rate manufacturers producing some absolute garbage - both in quality and design.
ozleicester Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 I would like a collar. That is all (: Care to share any more information... ball gag?
JmorsonLCFC Posted 4 April 2011 Author Posted 4 April 2011 okay just saw this: My link looks like the BURRDA templates are the same...ffs!
lcfcadam Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 okay just saw this: My link looks like the BURRDA templates are the same...ffs! That shirt looks kinda nice though...
Ozwin Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 Like someone said before I highly doubt we're going to have Burrda again next season. If we're branching out to the far east, they're not going to want some crappy little sponsor nobody has ever heard of plastered across the shirt. They're going to want something well known. I'd love a Kappa shirt but I reckon Kappa won't be good enough for the owners. Who knows though. I'd be suprised if we still had them next year.

Depends on the cost to buy out the contract put against the estimated gain of a better supplier. I'd be surprised if we renew with another unknown company after the contract expires. But whether or not they'll wait it or, who knows?
ACE Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Depends on the cost to buy out the contract put against the estimated gain of a better supplier. I'd be surprised if we renew with another unknown company after the contract expires. But whether or not they'll wait it or, who knows? Cost to buy out the contract? Has nobody else had the startling idea that it isn't Top's signature on the paperwork for Burrda? Its Manderic's, so hopefully all contracts will be void... There is a rumour around which everyone keeps seeming to bring up which is that the new shirt will be nike, how accurate that is, we won't know until May, but fingers crossed, and I have no idea where anyone would have got that presumption from. Regardless we will still be stuck with the yellow away kit as that isn't up for replacement until next year, but both Home and third kit are, anyone anticipating yellow being made 3rd and some new amazing kit for away if we drop Burrda?

Yeah because that always stops teams replacing kits mid cycle.
Kitchandro Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 I don't know why people are so desperate to get a kit made by by a big brand, just look at adidas - all their kits are rubbish, they have the same stupid 3 stripe thing on all of them, it's so boring. Nike might be good, it might not. Fox Leisure wasn't a massive brand and they brought out some great kits in the 90s.

I don't know why a huge, successful brand would want to have their trademark image on their products
Kitchandro Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 For real? I don't know why a huge, successful brand would want to have their trademark image on their products Oh so that makes it better then I don't care what their reasoning is, it looks rubbish. At least Nike just have tick which is barely noticeable.
StanSP Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 I'm just saying that Adidas' 'thing' is the 3-stripes and it won't go away. That or the shell anyway, but the 3 stripes is used mostly for kits etc. It's just like Nike's thing is the swoosh. Whether it looks rubbish or not it'll still be there on all kits they make.

But that's their choice to use it and I think it's a negative. So I wouldn't want an adidas kit.

At least Nike just have tick which is barely noticeable. 'It looks rubbish.' It's one of the most recognisable trademarks in the world. And, to be honest it all depends what examples you choose to use to suit your logic, really. Is the swoosh barely noticeable there? NO. There's no sense to your reasoning. Even on football shirts, really, what do Adidas have that's so garish you'd sooner have something that's 'barely noticeable'?! Is it the tiny logo? The 3 stripes on the arms that often blend with the whole design of the shirt? All three, ruined by the stripes!
Callabinho Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 I wonder if the owners will pay off burrda and go for a more prestigious brand like Nike in the summer, wouldn't surprise me if so?
