Soccer AM Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 I went to Reading with expectations; I'm going to Forest with none. Whatever Will Be, Will Be. It's going to be fun, like Man City was, and hopefully, even if the result doesn't go our way, it'll be one I've recorded that I want to watch back to show other people all of us behind the goal behind our team. I'll be drinking at Notts County's ground before cautiously suggesting it can't be worse than last time. :scarf:
gavboc Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Let's hope we defend better Friday than we have done recently then we may have a chance against a side in very poor form, if we put it into perspective how poor have Forest been since October for us to be within three points of them now, I can see another Derby day double here if we get it right at the back. KEEP THE FAITH!!!

KEEP THE FAITH!!! "Now we go to Nottingham Forest on Friday and we have to win, and I am sure we will play a good game there. I am sure of that." Ok Sven, put your money where your mouth is and don't let us down against fookin Forest
cc_star Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 When forest drew nil=nil with 10 men away at QPR, I thought Forest were the best team in the division, but since then they've plummeted as have we. If we win & Leeds lose we're back in the game, if we don't win (which we never do there) or Leeds win and its very, very doubtful as opposed to just doubtful as it is now
Kitchandro Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 If it's worse than last year I think I'll hang myself. But I'm gonna stick my neck out and say it won't be

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Bet we concede, its vital, vital we score first.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 What a match this is shaping up to. It's going to be a good friday for one team. Lets hope it's the boys in blue, and we can resurrect our defence, and hammer forest. (PS: Hope you noticed the puns.)
Soccer AM Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Author Posted 18 April 2011 Last time we won at the City Ground 'in the league' was in 1972; Birch got the winner in a 2-1 win! Here's hoping it's the end to 39 years of hurt

Soccer AM Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Author Posted 18 April 2011 Did I have the best dream ever three-odd years ago then? Apologies. *In the league

Soccer AM Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Author Posted 18 April 2011 Anyone know how many tickets we've sold? A lady at the ticket office said they were approximately 900 left as of 15/04/11 and they were confident they would sell out by the penultimate day because they'll have been on general sale for a few days. I think the reason for the slow progress is that traditionally lots of people don't try to get tickets because Forest away is always so congested but because it's on TV people have better chances at getting tickets.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Where's everyone drinking pre-match? I'll be down the Waterfront with a few Forest mates. Sure I'll see a fair few blue shirts round there.

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 You wont. Im sure they wont let anyone in colours in there. That shall be my watering hole however. Ahh yes, good point! As I go there quite often I was naive enough to think it was my God given right to go there on match day. no colours it will be then.
Dan Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 On the bright side, it simply cannot be worse than last year.
lestajigs Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 On the bright side, it simply cannot be worse than last year. Yessss these scum could finally end our play off hopes!! They would love that
Fox92 Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 Looking forward to this. Like the City Ground and its always a better atmosphere than any other away match. In my opinion we can still make the play offs but only if we win. However, we have never done the double over both Nottingham Forest and Derby in the same season. That could change though, before Saturday Reading had never done the double over Leicester, and as long as its not as bad as the 5-1 thumping last year...
Swampdog Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 I went to this fixture last season... going again this season and hope to god its not that bad again.. living in notts ill have to kill myself if we get spanked again.
Danno Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 I went to this fixture last season... going again this season and hope to god its not that bad again.. living in notts ill have to kill myself if we get spanked again. Me too <_<
Dames Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 If we lose i'll go on a media shut out until next season.. The moron levels would be through the roof. Nothing but a 6-0 win with Yak ending up in hospital from heart failure from over exertion, Bruma transforming into a 10 ft tall and 30ft wide brick wall and Sven chaging his name to Harry Smith and applying to be a british citizen will appease some people it seems. That aside i have a feeling it will be a 1-1 draw ending both teams fading hopes of reaching the play offs.
