Worst no.1

With LMFAO (they would be better named WTF) at number 1 I find myself wondering if there's ever been anything worse? Surely there must, but I'm struggling.

Yes, I know. I stopped paying any real attention to the charts when I reached my early 20s, many years ago :( , but I can't help getting miffed that so many people would rather listen to tripe than something good.

C'mon peeps, refresh my memory with the many truly awful tracks beloved of Joe Public. Only condition is that it had to be a UK no. 1.

Crazy frog is a good shout, why anyone would buy a single of that is baffling.

I don't actually know if it was number one but the recent song Dirty Bit by The Black Eyed Peas for me is just dreadful.

There's been a lot worse than LMFAO, although my main gripe with that song is actually the title. 'Party Rock Anthem' ...errr what?

A couple of other contenders to add to the excellent list so far :P Aqua - Barbie Girl, Lady Gaga - Pokerface, Eiffel 65 - Blue (da ba dee) and Cartoons have probably had a ridiculous song up there as well...

I WIN

To be honest, although that's terrible, I somehow find the whole story of "nerd makes rubbish music about video games and internet chat, somehow becomes famous and starts dating a pornstar, rereleases tracks with vapid english lyrics rather than translations and then gets taken seriously by enough of the stereotypical chavs around to make him seriously rich" to be worth the price of that being called music.
