Do you really believe everything you read in the papers. If the Sun newspaper printed that we could buy Lionel Messi for £5m tomorrow, you'd probably believe them!

I was basing my statement on some tangible evidence that was on this forum, on the net and in the papers whether its true or not is besides the point but at least its better than believing half the rubbish that comes from twitter.

Evidence of £2m being bid, hmmm hardly evidence. But come on, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that the facts are wrong somewhere if a bid had supposedly gone from £2m to £4m. Anyway, the person who said a new bid of £4m was made has always stated our first bid was £3.5m.
