The Doctor Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 The fact of the matter is that your club cannot afford Maynard, that's the bottom line, hence the poxy bids. you do realise there is a difference between "Cannot afford" & "Will not pay that much"? If we wanted to we could afford to pay your asking price, however anyone with a braincell count in double figures will not pay the ridiculous fee you want for a player with one year left on his contract and who shows no desire to sign a new one.
Scoobyrob Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 What a season this will be 2 games against the Forest scum, Derby scum, Coventry scum and now the Bristol City scum too. Bring it on you morons!
Nickfosse Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Beautifully and eloquently put. I happen to think we should remember where we come from for the inevitable vicissitudes of sport suggest the wheel will turn eventually. I'll still be there when it does, will everyone else who has banged on about being massive?
Happy Fox Posted 29 July 2011 Author Posted 29 July 2011 What a season this will be 2 games against the Forest scum, Derby scum, Coventry scum and now the Bristol City scum too. Bring it on you morons! Don't forget the Leeds
The Voice Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I think as Bert says nicky is being a professional about this he still has a year of his contract left, if we were to move jobs (i know slightly different) we would want to lookall the options available. at the end of the day he ain't in no rush to do anyhting as he is gonna get paid under contract for the 12 months no matter what happens, the only people who will want to force his arm is Bristol who will lose out big time not him, its a big decision to move on if your not money orientated as it seems Nicky isn't (or he would be here by now i.e transfer request) he may want to look how Bristol city are doing afterthe 1st few games and make a decsion from there.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 What a season this will be 2 games against the Forest scum, Derby scum, Coventry scum and now the Bristol City scum too. Bring it on you morons! come on buddy dont drop to their level . . . . . . . and anyway they are wurzel morons
Scoobyrob Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Don't forget the Leeds True. How could I forget dirty Leeds. Dirty Bristol City could catch on too
Raw Dykes Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I think we need to show a little humility. It wasn't that long ago that we hadn't got a pot to pee in, had players not being paid, opposition fans mocking the East stand and every decent player we found sold for a handsome profit. Just because our side is being heavily invested in this summer (for one year only at these levels I'd guess if we don't go up) let's not get all Billy Big with clubs we have no reason to dislike. I would love Maynard at Leicester but I have admiration for their desire to acheive their ambitions with their excellent goalscorer at the helm. I'll never forget the feeling of wondering whether this club would survive serious financial difficulties, don't you worry about that. I have absolutely no ill-feeling towards Bristol City FC, but if some idiot wants to comment on this forum, telling us we're a smaller, poorer club, they've got to expect some response, surely? What do you expect us to say? "Yeah, you're right, mate - your club with a small average gate that's never been near the PL is bigger than ours. Thanks for dropping by."
Scoobyrob Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Where does this Wurzel thing come from? Is it cause there fans are all as clever and well dressed as scarecrows??

Personally, I would ignore their comments and simply look forward to the magnificent football I think we will be privileged to watch this season. The final laugh would then be ours my friend.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 got to say i havent got a problem with any set of fans usually (even the red scum F****t) so it dissapoints me that (probably a small percentage?) of Bristol City fans are so ignorant that it makes your blood boil, especially the racist stuff that has already been pointed out - no need for that
cc_star Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Oh what short memories the moronic side of our fanbase has. One summer of heavy investment and before we've seen if they're going to gel or not we're bigger than Barca

One summer of heavy investment and before we've seen if they're going to gel or not we're bigger than Barca realistic fans recognise that as much as we love our Leicester we will never be on the same planet as Barca, although there is no harm in trying
The Doctor Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Where does this Wurzel thing come from? Is it cause there fans are all as clever and well dressed as scarecrows?? I think it has something to do with the band "The Wurzels".

Guest ttfn Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 At 4pm when I last checked this thread, there were 77 pages. When I looked again just now there were 83. I assumed something had happened. Instead it was a pointless squabble. I should have known better. This is the most tedious transfer saga of all time. All of the Bristol City fans that have come on this forum have ended up looking like dicks, as have all of the people that have challenged them. What an unseemly mess over nothing.
JmorsonLCFC Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Oh dear. It's turned into a big willie contest again. Are you the one who said 4m + Waghorn ? We all knew that was absolute bullshit, and even if that was the bid it would have been treated with the disdain it deserves. Why the hell would we want Waghorn ? He wouldn't get a game. The fact of the matter is that your club cannot afford Maynard, that's the bottom line, hence the poxy bids. In the know my arse. can't afford? we paid 4.5 for matt mills, and apparently offered 8million for shane long! don't say bullsh*t about poxy bids because this time last year you would've snapped our hands off. I say accept the bid because it can pay for some stewards that notice the racist abuse your fans give. now do 1 and go back on your scum filled otib wanksite
