FoxyPV Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 You're spot on. And these should matter, whereas place of birth should be irrelevant at best.
ajthefox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I'm English and the term British means very little to me other than it's on my passport.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 English. Although Jerusalem should be the national anthem and the Union Jack the flag (not for any historical/cultural/political reasons, it's just a less boring design than the St George). The idea of British and Britishness just makes me think of Andy Parsons and an ensuing desire to vom at the poor quality of his comedy.

Webbo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 being a pedantic **** i ought to point out it's only the union jack if it's flying over sea, otherwise it's the union flag. That's the standard answer.

I am Rod Hull Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 White Anglo-Saxon Protestant... WASP for short... "Awaits liberal disapproval"
lestajigs Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 White Anglo-Saxon Protestant... WASP for short... "Awaits liberal disapproval" Yes I protest about the pope being head off the church to!
ACF Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 I'm English first and foremost, dislike being banded in with the British. However, I will wave a Union Flag just as much as a St George Cross, as it is still part of my homeland. I'm a very patriotic person.
