StanSP Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 I've seen reports that they have 'to sell', so I reckon there'd be a transfer fee involved.
Libertine Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 Heard 2 Prem clubs are after him. Bolton was one I think.
Simmsy Posted 11 June 2011 Posted 11 June 2011 I've heard they're slapping a 8 figure transfer fee on him, but I've also heard he could go on the cheap. Don't know what to believe Either way, I think both him and Dann (amongst others) are prem bound.
Callabinho Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Man city have allegedly put Craig Bellamy up for sale for £4 Million, If true do we think Sven might have a go? My link

jonthefox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Despite what you read , i doubt weve got £4m to spend on one player.
sphericalfox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Man city have allegedly put Craig Bellamy up for sale for £4 Million, If true do we think Sven might have a go? My link It's an interesting dilemma for Cardiff. They've lost or are losing half their squad. Bellamy has stated openly that he doesn't want to play for anyone other than Cardiff next season in interviews. If Cardiff spend the money on him, they'll have to build the team around him, as he would dictate. That really isn't healthy, and I think Cardiff are going to struggle unless they bring in a new manager of exceptional talent. Bringing sour-puss here is a great risk. Whilst he would be quality, he is both an injury risk, and petulant to the point of making Robbie Savage look like a wallflower. He is also openly critical of manager's and players alike. A disruptive timebomb in the dressing room. Quality or not he can rot at Man City or waste his time should Cardiff want him.
Haydos Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Bellamy's way too big for his boots. He's a bottom half Prem/top half Championship player these days and will still probably want 50k a week.
The Bear Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I'm amazed the press haven't linked you to Marcus 'Buddy' Hahnemann yet. I know a few have mentioned him on here but even at 36 he still has plenty to offer. Just look at 40-year old Brad Friedel. He's very solid and a good shot stopper who commands his area well. He was a bit shocked at not getting offered a contract as he doesn't really want to leave the area. His kids and his family are settled so another Midlands club would probably be something he'd consider seriously. He's had an offer from Seattle Sounders but as I said he'd prefer to stay in England. I do know from a good source that he had a bit of a falling out in training with the assistant manager not long back for overly criticising a player's defending, which started an argument between the two about coaching methods and it got escalated upstairs. Maybe that had a part in Wolves' decision to not offer a new contract?
RyanB89 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 cant see us spending anymore than £3m on any one player tbh
The Doctor Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 £5m for Al-Habsi. Sorted. apart from the fact that we'd have spend a high % of our budget on one player and still need to bring in several more players with what little we'll have left.
RyanB89 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 apart from the fact that we'd have spend a high % of our budget on one player and still need to bring in several more players with what little we'll have left. we dont have 10mil to spend
Aidy3 Posted 13 June 2011 Posted 13 June 2011 We dont need all these links to foreign goalkeepers who will be the same as Ricardo. I think theres an obvious target we should go for and that's Kasper Schmeichel.

I think theres an obvious target we should go for and that's Kasper Schmeichel. You can't liken every foreign keeper to Ricardo! If we end up signing a foreign keeper, at least give them a chance before jumping on their back! Oh and you best email Sir Alex to tell him he's making a mistake signing De Gea

Bugg Posted 13 June 2011 Posted 13 June 2011 We should never have signed Casey Keller. He was just another crap foreigner!

The Doctor Posted 13 June 2011 Posted 13 June 2011 we dont have 10mil to spend i am aware of that, but if you think that we have enough to be able to spend 5m on one player and still be able to afford to strengthen the rest of the squad sufficiently then you are going to be disappointed this summer.
