Ashley Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 I'm at college at the minute and just looking through the Four Four Two magazine which has the Football League perfect XI in. Our team is. Manager: Martin O'Neill Gordon Banks Adam Black Steve Walsh Matt Elliott David NishDavid Gibson Muzzy Izzet Keith WellerGary Lineker Arthur Rowley Frank Worthing
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Looks pretty spot on. Glad someone cleared that up.
Bert Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Where's Iain Hume? Running around like a headless chicken after the editor.
Donut Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 OK, now fair enough he was from many moons ago, but why does Arthur Chandler never get a look in in these teams you see frequently? he was , after all, our RECORD goalscorer
The Padster Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 OK, now fair enough he was from many moons ago, but why does Arthur Chandler never get a look in in these teams you see frequently? he was , after all, our RECORD goalscorer 'cause he didn't contribute anything else bar goals to the team.
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 That Arthur Chandler, all he did was score goals...
MPH Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 That Arthur Chandler, all he did was score goals... must of been lazy...
cc_star Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Heard it was a tough fight between Banks, Shilts, Kalac, Kirkland & Ricardo for the no1 jersey
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 In all seriousness, that ain't a bad shout. Personally I'd like to see Gary Mills in there, and possibly Neil Lennon, but otherwise that's a solid team.
Corky Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Lennon is a good shout but Muzzy was so important to us for longer and helped us get up in the administration season.
The Doctor Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Didn't joe off here mention that he'd done this a while back?
Fox_E_Shazam Posted 6 May 2011 Posted 6 May 2011 Where is Junior Lewis Tucked up in bed with Peter Taylor by now I should think
ajthefox Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Agree with the three players I've seen. The same for me really. Can only claim to have seen the most recent 3 but from I know it seems like a quality team.

Nice to read your thoughts - I've got a soft spot for Gary Mills, and if City had been playing at a higher level, he may have got more recognition.
Brauniefox Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 Where is The Birch What no Josh Lowe or Alan Rodgers and surely no team is complete without Adi Akinbye
