I'd say it was far less egotistical and doesn't have as many ridiculous updates from people you no longer speak to saying things like, "So fed up", " =(" and other such shite which is just attention seeking and begging for a response. Twitter offers insight into interesting people's lives (however much you may hate a footballer or celebrity, it certainly is fascinating seeing how they interact with people and document their lives to thousands, sometimes millions of people. It also is an amazing news tool with real time updates, brilliantly limited to 159 (ish) characters. One of the best examples of this I feel were the student protests in London. I was following a number of people who were protesting and the difference in what they were reporting compared to our tabloids was such a contrast. I personally found it really interesting. Twitter still has it's idiots but the majority aren't, unlike Facebook.

Haydos Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 Agree with bluearmyfc, Twitter over Facebook for me, especially now lots of people are on it. It's good for keeping up with news or relating to your favourite celebs but the point of it is completely different to facebook. I use both, FB for sharing photos, keeping in touch with mates and twitter for news/celebs/games/bands etc.
