ScouseFox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Kiss of death or what ! I`ll put that wicket down to you.. Haha i'll take it Very strange leave. Properly into the tail now, they don't usually hang around long.
LCFC1993 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Should be able to wrap this up by the end of the day now. Good knock by Tendulkar though.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Haha i'll take it :DVery strange leave. Properly into the tail now, they don't usually hang around long. Tendulkar LBW b Scousefox 56. Should be able to wrap this up by the end of the day now. Good knock by Tendulkar though. Like Scouse said, he did look good..
ScouseFox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Harbi gone now. This has been a great performance with bat and ball after a tricky first day. Young sub took a decent catch after dropping one in the last over.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Nice of Bumble and Warney to give a little mention to Paul Nixon who has announced his retirement.
LCFC1993 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Nice of Bumble and Warney to give a little mention to Paul Nixon who has announced his retirement. Indeed. Been a great servant to Leicestershire.
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Indeed. Been a great servant to Leicestershire. What happens if we beat Kent ? Surely he`ll play the finals ? Would be a great send off for him...
I am Rod Hull Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Game over... How did we win that from being 128-8 and them being 264 - 4 ? and they only get a 67 first innings lead.. Pinch me... Broad MOTM anyone ? for me yes...
ScouseFox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 We were frighteningly good from day 2 onwards. Brilliant stuff. Broad a clear MotM, got us out of a hole in our first innings, annihilated their middle and lower order in their first innings and just looked unplayable throughout. Terrific.
Corky Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 One more great performance at Edgbaston and we're top of the rankings. So good to be an England cricket supporter.

We are frighteningly good most days now, it's brilliant, cant wait for Birmingham.
Corky Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Except certain commentators, who were complaining about field settings when the Indian tail was in

Guest MattP Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Easy to forget this but at the minute we have... ....one of the best top 4's in the world, the best wicket keeper bat in the world (Sanga doesnt keep now), the best spinner in the world and the 2nd best seam attack in the world (2 of which also can score centuries with the bat) This is quite scary.
Brown Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Hadn't watched cricket for ages but have become enthralled in this series. Can someone tell me when Prior became good? He's been incredible so far, because the last time i watched cricket he was absolute shite. Awful keeper and used to open in ODI's with an average of around 24 and only 1 ODI 50 to his name!?

ODI`s and T20 are for chumps.. Test match cricket is where its at..
Brown Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 ODI`s and T20 are for chumps.. Test match cricket is where its at.. Yeah I used to love all types of cricket regardless then I kind of got bored of it partly because the England 20/20 WC was absolutely horrendous and I was struggling to understand how 20/20 was becoming boring so I just gave up, but don't worry I'm a fan again I think

As for Prior, much better on an older ball and we have him time to develop rather than tossing him away after ten matches, always had the talent, they now seem to all be bringing it out of each other.
Corky Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 I wasn't Prior's biggest fan (preferred Foster) but he's won me over. His batting is tremendous and his keeping today, in tough conditions, was exemplary.

Yes I know that I was talking about 2009 20/20 WC in England which I thought was a really shit tournament and it did put me off cricket a bit because 20/20 should never ever be boring! Most probably because I was upset that after we won the 2007 WC I was expecting big things in 2009 and all of our matches were boring. (I'm an India fan btw ) And yeah he seems like he's developed a lot and turning into one of the best keeper/batsmen in cricket.
