Dylan Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Not been good today, awful toss to lose and India this time have took advantage. Morning session wasn't too bad. Think its been quite good bowling rather than being a very good bowling pitch-hence an awful toss to lose tbf.
Corky Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Very bowler friendly conditions. Our attack could exploit them as well as the Indians have.
I am Rod Hull Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 221 all out from 128 for 8.. I`ll take that.. Well played Broady and Swan..
Corky Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Last two wickets put on 97, could be extremely valuable at the end of the game.
Corky Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 24-1 at stumps, India did well to only lose one in that spell, Broad especially bowled some beauties without reward.
FoxyPV Posted 29 July 2011 Author Posted 29 July 2011 Broad is playing really well. Couldn't believe how good someof the bowling was today. Looking forward to tomorrow.
FoxyPV Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Dravid is batting excellently. Dravid and Yuvraj have put on a rock solid partnership (cue commentator's curse )
ScouseFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Aye, been a good partnership. Could do with breaking it up with the new ball.
ScouseFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 3 quick wickets, Broad on a hat trick. And that LBW had possibly the biggest inside edge i've ever seen, not that it can be reviewed or anything
FoxyPV Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 Great bowling from Broad. Terrible decision for the LBW. It's brilliant when your opponent's shit decisions come back and bite them on the arse
ScouseFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 A maiden hat trick over to get a five wicket haul. Dreamland. Dravid
I am Rod Hull Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 The last 6 wickets for 21.. Right back in this..
ScouseFox Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Test best figures for Broady, took the last 5 wickets. Properly proving his critics wrong. He took 5/0 off his last 2.4 overs. Unreal.
FoxyPV Posted 30 July 2011 Author Posted 30 July 2011 6 wickets lost in 15 minutes!! Cook's terrible run of form continues
Fosse Boy Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Test best figures for Broady, took the last 5 wickets. Properly proving his critics wrong. He took 5/0 off his last 2.4 overs. Unreal. He's always had the talent, no questioning that. He's finally starting to realise the importance of bowling decent lengths most of the time though and it's paying dividends. Thrilled for him with bat and ball in this game.

Sure, he was always just a bit rough round the edges and some of his play was a bit erratic. But this match he's been outstanding, was superb with the bat and the way he destroyed the Indian tail today was special. Hopefully a sign of him maturing a bit and turning into a world beating all rounder.

I think the little stint he had back playing for Notts has kicked his arse right into gear. Fair play to him.
Brainy Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 6 wickets lost in 15 minutes!! Cook's terrible run of form continues what, 3 innings worth?
FoxyPV Posted 31 July 2011 Author Posted 31 July 2011 what, 3 innings worth? Consider he's been tanking all before him and hasn't really looked like scoring big. It'll come back to bite me in the arse.
