marko Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Credit where credit's due. England. WTF has happened to India?! The flat track bullies have been found out against the moving ball.
Podge Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 My first ever day at a test match and that is as much fun as I've had at a sporting event. Not the same tension that I feel at the football but it was more fun with the banter with everyone and being allowed a pint whilst watching the game. I can't wait to get back to another days play.

Podge Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Love this post... oh so true... Me and my mates are tempted to head back on Sunday if it goes 5 days. Was such a good laugh in the Eric Hollies stand today.
Leicesterpool Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 The whole team deserve man of the series, they've all played there part. Ian Bell as been excellent, apart from the incident. Though Bell did say the umpire called "over", Struass as not been great.

Should be cheaper tickets too.. I remember going to Trent Bridge in 2007... Got to the ground at 10am, play started around 3pm... No worries... walked around the ground a few times, had a few beers, my lad got Cook and Strauss`s autograph on his hat, met Lee Westwood, had some chips, a few more beers and walked round the ground again... BRILLIANT !

Glad to hear you enjoyed it, I always get jealous when people tell me about going for teh first time, you just can't beat it. I'm there from tomorrow, can't wait, watching the greatest English sports side of my generation.

Dylan Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 I know India have been a complete shambles this series... but oh my, Dhoni's keeping has been utterly pathetic.
Alexikokopops Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I know India have been a complete shambles this series... but oh my, Dhoni's keeping has been utterly pathetic. If he was good at keeping he could stand up to the stumps for Praveen. The England batsmen tend to stand about a foot out the crease to him to reduce LBW chances. They couldn't do this if Dhoni was good enough to stand up. It would make Praveen's swing a lot more dangerous.
purpleronnie Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Cant ever remember a worse fielding performance, India look beaten and uninterested, they'll be number 2 in the world soon but not for long, south africa, sri lanka and the aussies all look better than India, I reckon unless its a dead flat pitch they don't have a clue.
Corky Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 We also have the opportunity to really tire out their fielders before they bat again. Especially with Laxman and Tendulkar looking less than assured in this series.
Darkon84 Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I know India have been a complete shambles this series... but oh my, Dhoni's keeping has been utterly pathetic. Since he lost his magical long locks of hair
Dylan Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Completely agree with Nasser Hussain there... Praveen Kumar is the only Indian who should be given any credit. The only player who has continuously tried and gave his all, no matter what the circumstances.

They'll be number 3 if we win this series 4-0!
Dylan Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 James Taylor- 106 for the England Lions in a ODI... coming in at 47/2 and 'anchored' the innings, great knock. Surely just a matter of time before he's called up to the Senior Team?
Corky Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 When Trott returns who does he replace? I suppose Morgan would be the player most under threat,.
ScouseFox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Morgan pushing for his ton now though. Cook with another monster innings.
ScouseFox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Quite clever but very annoying from Dhoni and India.
Dylan Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Can someone clarify what happened? Quickly went out the room and they've stopped. Something to do with India wanting to bowl fast bowlers?
ScouseFox Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 The lights have no power apparently, and it's ever so slightly dipped below the "acceptable level", so Dhoni called for the new ball and fast bowlers, which is then "dangerous" so we've had to go off for bad light. I think. People have been called in to fix up the lights and we should be off again soonish.
