Guest MattP Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 There is no format they can beat us in at the minute. Even with the inept Bopara playing a huge role in trying to lose they can't get to us.
marko Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 There is no format they can beat us in at the minute. Even with the inept Bopara playing a huge role in trying to lose they can't get to us. I'm sure they'll give us a run for our money in the ODI's. I think our incompetence at 50 over cricket will be a leveller.
accessory Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 They do have a few players missing though. I'm quite confident of another England series victory.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Me too. Though as an Englishman I preferred it when we were crap because we like mediocrity. I prefered it when we you were crap too All out for 275 not a bad result given the state of the wicket. Our bowling may struggle only one spinner who is on debut (our 12th spinner we have tried since Warney retired), A pacemen on Debut and our other opening bowler in only his 6th test.....combine this with the erratic Mitch Johnson and only Watson as an all-rounder we may struggle. Saying that i'm excited to see Copeland bowl he is 6 ft 6 and only bowls 125kms.........remind you of any Aussie great that retired a few years ago
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 It's a Spinners pitch but 5-34 on debut and a wicket with your first ball to get Sangakara is a good effort. Sri Lanks all out for 105 and now we are 1/0 not a great start
Corky Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 They do have a few players missing though. I'm quite confident of another England series victory. The players should be full of confidence, we perform to our best and we can beat anyone.

I'll think we will be ok, this Indian side being aggressive seems incapable of batting 40 overs. Loved watching Samit Patel goading and kissing the English badge at all the English born Indian supporters last night. Corky Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 HE BOWLS TO THE LEFT, HE BOWLS TO THE RIGHT, THAT MITCHELL JOHNSON, HIS BOWLING IS not very good.
marko Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 Mitchell Johnson giving out some stick about bowling. Oh the irony.
accessory Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Pakistan win comfortably in Zimbabwe Looks like they might give us a decent game when we play them in the Emirates during the winter.
Guest MattP Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 HE BOWLS TO THE LEFT, HE BOWLS TO THE RIGHT, THAT MITCHELL JOHNSON, HIS BOWLING IS not very good. Got a cracking video of that on my phone from Sydney last year, I'll try and upload it.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 3/20 Sri Lanka if you get a chance check out Mike Hussey's catch off Copelands bowling.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 Knocked them over for 174 and are 0-60 about time we seem to be playing some decent cricket. Last weeks debutants and Harris are bowling well and as much as i love Punter it's too early to tell but Clarke is captaining a hell of a lot better than Punter did for the last 2 years of his tenure.
accessory Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Nottingham awarded Ashes Tests in 2013 and 2015 Can imagine Headingley being a bit miffed, though. Probably haven't got a Test because we lost there in 09.
