FoxyPV Posted 12 August 2011 Author Posted 12 August 2011 India. Glad to see Morgan get a ton (luck of the irish blandishments etc) and hats off to Cook. Best line of commentary I heard today was "a spinner getting a no ball is like a woman missing the toilet when pissing"
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 WOW!!! I fear the next ashes is going to be very one sided again
FoxyPV Posted 13 August 2011 Author Posted 13 August 2011 Anderson's came out the traps at some pace this morning! Three wickets already (although Dravid should have never walked - the ball was about two feet past him when the noise was made)
ramboacdc Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 not bad. could be over by the end of the day fingers crossed.
Salieri Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Wonder what the biggest margin of victory ever is? This has to be up there. Sensational stuff.
GLC Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 My guess is 211 all out, i do love seeing the fans dress up
Corky Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Another all-round dominance from England, with bat, ball and in the field. This should be a 4-0 win.
accessory Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 Not bad for a 9-man team. Bopara isn't up to Test standard and Swann is badly out of form. World-class spinners shouldn't be battered around the park by opposition tail-enders.

World-class spinners shouldn't be battered around the park by opposition tail-enders. It's happened to them all at some time or another. One of the best tests I have been to at the weekend, atmosphere was sensational... strange thing I realised this weekend was that the atmosphere at the cricket has surpassed the football now....

All day drinking might have something to do with that..

World-class spinners shouldn't be battered around the park by opposition tail-enders. Swann will come back to form. His attacking style will always allow the opportunity for him to be clattered. Bopara I agree doesn't look right in the Test side.
Guest MattP Posted 15 August 2011 Posted 15 August 2011 All day drinking might have something to do with that.. The state of some people on the friday night was quite scary. Saw one guy being carried out with blood pouring from his head...
Brainy Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 One quiet series on pitches that havent always turned and Swann is not being criticised Only in England.
I am Rod Hull Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Taylor`s got a ton for the Lions.. 111 off 132 .. out in the last over..
FoxyPV Posted 19 August 2011 Author Posted 19 August 2011 This is tedious. Bell odds on to get his ton. I think I heard today his average in tests this year is 100
ScouseFox Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 113 was his average at about lunch for tests in 2011.
I am Rod Hull Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 People are saying how bad India have looked but i think we`ve made them look bad... We are the real deal in all departments... Happy days...
Corky Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Bell looks in top form again, improved so much in the last few years.
Guest MattP Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 People are saying how bad India have looked but i think we`ve made them look bad... We are the real deal in all departments... Happy days... Exactly, battered into submission. Bell has always had the talent and technique, appears to now have the mental side of the game as well, he would be in a world XI now.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Is Ian Bell the most improved player in the game at the moment? He used to be so crap and fold under pressure now looks so solid and settled
FoxyPV Posted 20 August 2011 Author Posted 20 August 2011 Another innings defeat on the cards? India have looked and been made look absolutely dire. A bit disappointed by the series. I was hoping India would come out and make it really tight and hard fought barring Broad / Prior's massive stand in the 2nd (?) test to get England out of ghe shit, it's never really materialised. That's not to take anything away from Wngland who have been awesome.
purpleronnie Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 I agree you have to applaud Englands efforts but India are poor, I cant see them winning many games against anyone. I still think south africa and the aussies would be much more of a test. Hopefully anderson wont slow the run rate and swing the bat.
