I am Rod Hull Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Australia 22/9 in their 2nd innings at Cape Town. Need 5 more to beat the lowest test score ever. Incredible stuff Was just going to post that. 28 - 9 Dang..
FoxyPV Posted 10 November 2011 Author Posted 10 November 2011 Was reading that Steyn has been bowling some extraordinary stuff.
martyn Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Was reading that Steyn has been bowling some extraordinary stuff. Bowled well 1st innings but Morkel and Philander have wreaked the carnage this time round.
Corky Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I thought you were taking the piss mart. 40-9 now.
Darkon84 Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Shaping up to be a good finish, SA needing 226 more with 10 wkts remaining. Spectators really getting their moneys-worth there today!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 23 wickets in a days cricket what a disgrace. How Michael Clarke made 151 on that deck is incredible. Watson after lunch dominated with the ball to get SA out for 96. Then shit hit the fan what ever happens in this test Haddin and Hughes need to be dropped for Wade and Kwahja. When you are 5-17 you knuckle down and try and grind out an innings not dance down the wicket Mr. Haddin. Game is still alive 150 odd to make 9 wickets in hand the pitch will still be doing plenty. Wouldn't be surprised to see my man Petey Siddle knock a few over.
Alexikokopops Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I watched yesterday's showing at work. What a ridiculous day of cricket.

Corky Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Cricket needs a declining Australia, so this is good.
marko Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Cricket needs a declining Australia, so this is good. Declining?! Australian cricket has been pap since about 2009.
FoxyPV Posted 20 November 2011 Author Posted 20 November 2011 PJ Cummings - a decent fast bowler? All set up for the Aussies to draw the series with them needing to bat the day out tomorrow (although that may be asking a lot). BTW - a two test series is a fucking joke!!

Isn't it, should be 4 or 5 test series if you ask me.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 20 November 2011 Posted 20 November 2011 It's because our seasons conflict, only ever normally play them in a 3 test series but 2 is a joke. Wouldn't be surprised to see us fall 100 short.
I am Rod Hull Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Aussies need 110 more to win with 5 wickets left off 45 overs. Cracking test match. EDIT. 67 needed off 34 overs with 4 wickets left EDIT. 10 needed with 2 wickets left.
accessory Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Aussies won by 2 wickets to square the series 1-1. Incredible composure by Pat Cummins at the end. He looks a real prospect and could help to make the next Ashes series very competitive.
accessory Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Declining?! Australian cricket has been pap since about 2009. They've just won in Sri Lanka and drawn in South Africa. Most test nations, England included, would be happy to take those results.
Guest MattP Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Tremendous day of cricket, exactly why this is the peak of the sport. Cummins could be a huge prospect, how desperate they are for a new ball bowler who can take wickets.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 November 2011 Posted 21 November 2011 Was a good win and hopefully a confidence boosting win too. Only negative is that Haddin and Ponting made runs was hopping they failed so we could get some more youth in the team. Also need to get rid of Johnson for Jimmy Patterson who is banging down the door.
Alexikokopops Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 I'm still fuming that it's only a two test series.
accessory Posted 22 November 2011 Posted 22 November 2011 It's because the Aussies have got home series vs New Zealand and India lined up soon. They have contractual obligations with TV to meet, the same as England do with Sky.
