Mark Posted 10 June 2005 Posted 10 June 2005 Julian Beever has made pavement drawings for over ten years. He has worked in the U.K., Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, the USA and Australia. Anamorphic illusions drawn in a special distortion in order to create an impression of 3 dimensions when seen from one particular viewpoint. The Portable Computer and the General Election drawings were commissioned by companies as part of a promotion and an event. Here we see the Swimming-Pool, drawn in Glasgow, Scotland, but viewed from the "wrong" side. These drawings only work from one viewpoint otherwise the image appears strangely distorted. andy_croydz Posted 11 June 2005 Posted 11 June 2005 Whoever created that peice of 3d art to look like that on a street is a genius!! they look like something ive never seen before paintings on a street that actually look like they are sticking out 3d when in fact they arnt
