RyanB89 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 I think we can assume sven is going to bring another fullback in so this deal could still be on, maybe depending if ball gets a contract
psychonaut Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 So this deal is over now? Who knows i've seen that much contradicting information and speculation not just on this player I'm at a loss.
thybluefox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 IMO this could all depend whether Burner takes the coaching role.
jonw88 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 IMO this could all depend whether Burner takes the coaching role. Bunsen Burner?
RyanB89 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 IMO this could all depend whether Burner takes the coaching role. Cant see berner getting much game time at all whether he becomes coach or not, dont think sven thinks hes good enough to be 2nd choice as we saw last season
cc_star Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Konchesky and a South African international aren't going to be to happy on the bench at a 2nd tier club, really can't see him signing now, it would be career suicide, just like Berner felt last season with the Euro2012 championships coming up - it's all a bit different for him if he has a future in coaching which we can offer him though
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 I think we can assume sven is going to bring another fullback in so this deal could still be on, maybe depending if ball gets a contract Michael Ball !!
Callabinho Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Looks like its off whether this is reliable or not. He is however in Sweden if I am not mistaken? My link
sphericalfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Looks like its off whether this is reliable or not. My link With the way they are wording that, it sounds like they are avoiding the 'he failed his medical' scenario. It's is a shame though, as I think he's 4 times as mobile as Konchesky and not afraid of a tackle.
Narborough_fox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Tsepo Masilela's agent has denied reports that he is "no longer needed", still say's he will sign #LCFC
Nick Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 http://www.kickoff.com/news/22955/tsepo-masilelas-move-to-leicester-city-is-off.php
One Arm Babba Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Can this guy maybe play left wing? It seems odd that we will take him as a left back only when we have just bought Konchesky.
Nick Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Can this guy maybe play left wing? It seems odd that we will take him as a left back only when we have just bought Konchesky. See my above post - it's off.
Happy Fox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Bruno to be back up to Konchesky or will it be Michael Ball?
thybluefox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 This is all very odd, there's been a few rumours of us pissing off a few players with our transfer policy, CMS, Yakubu and now Masilela
nickelbyfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 So it seems Sven did prefer Konchesky? all a bit weird

drc Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob Tanner @ @doktorc sven said door not closed but he went for Konchesky instead
MikeyT Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 @jasonbourne1986 Jason Bourne It looks like Tsepo Masilela's proposed loan move from Maccabi Haifa to #LCFC is dead:
Guest shearfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob Tanner @ @doktorc sven said door not closed but he went for Konchesky instead Seems Sven is after players that have a large amount of experience in English football, particularly the top two divisions.
sbfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 This is all very odd, there's been a few rumours of us pissing off a few players with our transfer policy, CMS, Yakubu and now Masilela Pissing off players? Really.... CMS - wanted more cash, wanted to be living in Brighton, wanted to be a big fish? Who knows for sure... Yak - wanted wages we can't break our structure for. Masilela - IF he doesn't come, it'll be because Sven thinks Konchesky is a bit option. Fair enough.
Walshy5 Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Bert can you give us any idea what happend here? It all seems a bit weird and would be nice to know the true facts as we,re all abit in the dark. Cheers.
Libertine Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Other reasons could be the Africa Nations in January, the fact he's coming back from an injury, and obviously the fact that he'd only be on loan (and from another country) despite the probability of a permanent in the future I guess Sven would rather a permanent signing now.
