thybluefox Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 He also had some pretty poor games Which is what you'd expect of someone who's only played 6months of senior football. Also ignoring the fact that a lot of his poor games were when the rest of the team was poor too.
pnefan1 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 reports from our end is that a fee has been agreed, but personal terms are some way off yet, with SSL wanting more money or he would happily sit on his contract until it runs out next summer and then have a better chance of signing for a premiership team, you cant blame him when you look at Billy Jones and what went on with him. We need to the money though so i hope you get him so we can start brining in some players. I wouldnt mind exchanging a player from you either with all the players your getting, there must be some players not happy and wanting first team football, anyone in mind?

pnefan1 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 were ok for right backs, need CB's LB RM Striker, Id take Lloyd Dyer instantly for Right mid

Bert Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 were ok for right backs, need CB's LB RM Striker, Id take Lloyd Dyer instantly for Right mid Shame he never uses his right foot, and regardless of what people say, he can't play there.
Guest bennytwohats Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 You said Mee was going to be one of the best defenders in the country. The three lads I mentioned currently are, they are either the same age or two years younger...they are way beyond Mee in terms of performance and experience, so it looks unlikely Mee will be one of the best in the country at that rate. Unbelievably lousy argument. Your limiting 'one of the best' to exclusively the top 3? For the record I think it remains to be seen as to whether he will. But if you think pointig out three better defenders in his age range somehow conclusively disprooves the notion then either your logic is way off or your understanding of 'one of the best' and mine greatly differ.
tomtom Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 He also had some pretty poor games Jesus,..Name a player that didn't! He made his league debut for us in which he made some mistakes but then he grew in confidence and put in some fine performances (and crunching challenges) and his performance at derby for one where he also got knocked out cold, then shrugged it off and carried proved what a cracking talent the boy is
bridlington Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 I was thinking when you were linked with mills it's understandable you've let Hobbs join us but st ledger? He really isn't very good. Shame you're missing out on mills.

Shame you're missing out on mills. 1. We've not missed out on Mills yet. 2. Hobbs, overrated, had one good season, can only play hoofball, so should fit into your team nicely. 3. I'll trust Svens judgement on St Ledger over yours, but thanks for the advice.

When we took Hobbs on loan most people on here were very sad to see him go and, although his form had dipped, he was very well regarded. 3. Of course. Just offering my opinion on a board that I've found very good in getting opinion of Leicester fans over the past year or so.

Money is a big factor, I honestly believe we have more of a chance than premier league clubs, we have Sven, we look to be putting together a great squad, and we can offer a regular starting place in our first team. 2. If Hobbs has someone who can tell him what to do, he'll be a decent defender, he won't play good passes, or good football, but he'll defend well. Without a good defender, he doesn't seem to know exactly what to do. 3. Sorry if I came across abit idiotic, but I do trust Sven, and St Ledger was never going to look a good defender in a Preston team that was getting overrun in most games last year, I do believe he is a decent championship defender. I don't know if he'll be able to make the step up to the Prem though, thats if we get there.
