What are everybody's guesses? I feel even that alone, with only 6 of a speculated 12 arrivals, would fire us into the Premier League. Of course we'd need depth, but fvck me, that is one strong side.

millzi Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 Looking at most people's line-ups I think we're some way off being top 2 Last season we had good players but weren't particularly a good team when the opposition had the ball Improving on last season's players to finish higher up the table will be difficult Schmeichel Peltier - Tunchev - Mee - MasilelaBowyerAbe - WellensGallyYakubu - Kamara Yes, the forwards are a bit enigmatic, but with a hard working trio in the middle, with Gally providing the flair it should have goals and the fact it's hard working should see our defence less exposed Struggling to imagine the players to fire us into the top 2 tbh, West Ham look like being very strong, Birmingham & Forest won't be too far away either, Blackpool will be a highly motivated unknown quantity & Cardiff, Leeds, Burnley & Hull will be tough contenders for the play-offs It's a very, very strong division No King!?

He is our only signed (Hobbs on way out) CB and played well. 2 new CB's is correct one to be Bamba's partner and the other as cover. St Ledger would be more than good enough. So would Mee on loan or bourght and there are many more.

No, he always played 4-1-2-1-2 for England and personally I think that formation would be best for us... Schmeichel Peltier - Bamba - St. Ledger/Mee - MasilelaAbe/WellensKing - DannsGallagher/NugentMackail-Smith - Maynard That's a narrow 4-1-2-1-2 with King and Danns being RCM and LCM as opposed to RM and LM, and then Abe/Wellens CDM and Gallagher/Nugent CAM. Personally don't think Wellens and Gallagher will feature much.

Sven will obviously rotate Danns and Wellens even King from time to time. Getting the accolades Wellens did last year i cant see Sven keeping him on the bench.
