accessory Posted 13 July 2011 Author Posted 13 July 2011 We're everywhere these days. I bet Winkelman loves Rebekah Brooks. He's been waiting years to find someone who is even more loathed than he is..
Part Of The Crowd Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 I like to think of WInkelman getting a hard on about anything bad going on and his mullet flapping about all over the place as he furiously wanks himself in to oblivion, but that's just me. Back on topic, this phone hacking stuff is ridiculous, it's all coming out of the woodwork, you think it's finished and there's more!
Guest Bilo Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 Rebekah Brooks has resigned as Chief Exec of News International. I'd bet a pound to a penny she's had a huge pay-off to keep her quiet in public. Hopefully though, this is the beginning of the end for Murdoch's unwelcome presence on our news stands.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 The appointed Edelman (a big PR agency) to handle the crisis for them yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised if they said get rid of her, for the same reasons that they got rid of NOTW. Clear out everything and everyone associated with the problems. I'll be fascinated to see where the US investigation takes things. Massive though the UK based stuff has been, it's small beer really in the context of his global operations. What must Ross Kemp think of all this?

Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 He ran away just before things were about to kick off. He'll be found dead in the woods soon having 'killed himself'. This makes for cheery reading: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/phone-hacking/8638614/The-great-Murdoch-conspiracy.html This made me laugh though, a tweet from Charlie Brooker: "Captain always goes down with ship? Brooks torpedoed ship, saw 500 go under then paddled away for a week befoe getting sucked into vortex"
Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 July 2011 Posted 15 July 2011 "Detracting attention"? Does that even make sense?

Now that the FBI are on the case, Murdoch has a real reason to sweat.
accessory Posted 15 July 2011 Author Posted 15 July 2011 Murdoch issues signed apology.. :o Never thought I'd see the day - certainly not when starting this thread..

I am Rod Hull Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Met Police Commissioner quits Rebekah Brooks arrested Where and when is this saga going to end? Murdoch will have a good Brief for her... Cash will get her out of this... Sad but true...

Ultra Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Murdoch will have a good Brief for her... Cash will get her out of this... Sad but true... Murdoch may need the briefs for himself and his son.. The scandal gets bigger by the day. There are already rumours of at least one government minister being implicated and forced from office.

There are already rumours of at least one government minister being implicated and forced from office. Murdoch will walk away, scot free.... He`ll pay his way to innocence.. He`s right up there with Hitler, Stalin, Blatter, Vlad the Impaler, Penelope Keith, George W Bush and Skeletor has "worlds biggest villains"...
Guest Bilo Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 If the FBI find evidence that the News of the World hacked or attempted to hack the phones of 9/11 victims and their families, that would be little short of Armageddon for Murdoch's presence in the US. The media fallout from that would be far too much even for Murdoch's Republican cronies to ignore, and their media licence would surely be untenable. That's Fox News and the New York Post screwed. The stakes couldn't be higher now.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Milliband is playing a dangerous game. We shouldn't forget that he was part of a Labour Government who did nothing to restrict, investigate or otherwise counter the influence of the media in the UK. He has also employed an ex News International executive as his communications chief. The most worrying part of this for me is the Police taking money from the press. That is as bad as taking it from Criminals. A disgrace, and no doubt this is why Stephenson has made a hasty exit.

This is what I said a couple of pages back, nobody in the political establishment holds the moral high ground here.
Guest MattP Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Miliband wasn't my preferred choice and has, until now, been a poor leader in my judgement. He's had a sitting duck in front of him running the worst government I can remember . Does the memory not extend to the last one that was prepared to bankrupt a country whilst by inflating the public sector to such a large amount just to try and keep themselves into power? Not to mention the illegal wars and scandalous obsession with removing peoples civil liberties? I'm not even going to start on car boot Gordon and his gold reserve sell off. The reason Miliband cant go that hard at the Tories over this is because its a pretty easy comeback for Call me Dave to mention that new labour spent 12 years un the arsecrack of Rupert. Ed is going to have exactly the same problem William Hague did, he might have the better cabinet and government for the situation, but whatever they do they wont be elected for a while because people are not going to forget the baggage attached to the party of what the previous government did.

If the last Labour government hadn't put money into the economy, along with the rest of the world, the recession caused by bankers would have been a depression. Unfortunately, cold feet has set in and the same old "remedy" of cut, cut, cut is now being employed and we are about to slip back into recession again, just when the spending plan was beginning to work. When history is written you will look an idiot if you continue to trot out this lame argument. How taking money out of the economy can create growth is anyone's guess. If you still believe in Osbornomics then god help you. As for the gold reserve sell off, the amount of money "lost" is as nothing when compared to revenues lost due the sell off of BP by Thatcher. Do your research mate!! Now that News International look like disappearing up their right-wing arses you might start to hear that there are two sides to any argument.

l444ry Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 A bag owned by Rebekah Brooks husband containing a lap top and documentation has been found in a bin bag in a bin in a car park. When he found out it had been found he went to the car park to retrieve it only to be told the bag had been sent to the police. The police are now searching though the documentation and the laptop. And so it rolls on and on and on...
The People's Hero Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 My mate swears he left me a voicemail yesterday. No sign of it my end. Someone must have hacked my phone, keen for juicy gossip details of what time the lads are meeting for beers, who is and is not available for East Malling CC and how angry my wife is that I've stayed in the pub way longer than agreed.

I've missed something haven't I?
