How many of us were born miles away from Filbert Street?

How many became Leicester fans and have never lived anywhere near the club....if so what made you become a fan?

I was born in Bassetlaw District Hospital ( Worksop ) 65.3 miles miles away from Filbert Street.

Ive lived in Worksop all my life and my family are the only Leicester fans in the town and it is a big town!

My Grandad supported Leicester therefor my Uncle supported them and my Uncle just took me to Leicester games and brainwashed almost everyone in the family lol .

Birn in Boston and have lived in Sleaford all my life.

My uncle used to live in Leicester and he used to take my Dad to see Leicester in the 70's, so my Dad became a fan. I just followed the family tradition :)

Born in Ashby De La Zouch Hospital, started following Leicester at about 8 as all my mates were Leicester fans. Thank god I wasnt mates with no other clubs fans or I would have been brainwashed. Then persuaded my Dad to go along and I had a season ticket from about the age of 11 till 18.

Born in St Stephens Hospital, Fulham Road Chelsea. About 1/2 to 1 mile from Stamford Bridge.

Moved to Leicester when I was 5. No one in my family was interested in football except my brother (1 year older) and I. Growing up we used to go to see Leicester mostly but also Chelsea on visits to London.

Big decision day came in 1965 when we i.e. is Leicester City played Chelsea in the League Cup Final, we had to choose one or the other. We both chose Leicester City (unfortunately Chelsea won) and have supported them unequivocally ever since.

In fact I don't even go out of my way to look for Chelsea's results and am probably quite indifferent to them.

I was born in Leicester General Hospital, but the whole family has always been City fans, or so I have been told and therefore just followed the family tradition.

And plus, my dad said he would murder me if I supported anyone else!!!!!

I was born in Nuneatons, George Elliot Hospital. My house is about 20 miles away from Leicester, but my old house and the hospital would have been furhter away (not sure how far)

So what made me a Leicester fan?

Well my dad owned a shop in Hinckley, (Westfield Road...Glenkar Autostore - It was a car accessories shop, the company no longer exists) anyway, a regular customer used to come into the shops and he had FNF tickets which he used to give my dad, occasionally he had first team game tickets aswell, but that was only occasionally, anyway as I got older we just used to go to more games, and thats a short story of how I became a Leicester fan!

Was born in Chichester! I'm meant to be a Brighton fan i suppose! :S

My Grandad used to live in Leicester so he started supporting them. He then passed it down to my dad who's passed it onto me :D

Family thing ;)

I was born in boring old LRI

Born to a Leicester fan (mum) and a Man U fan (dad), I used to have both kits but the Leicester one itched me really badly and gave me a rash (I never forgot this and brought it up recently and I wouldn't stop going on about it and my mum had to leave the room)

Anyway due to this poor fact I chose Manchester United :S I supported them til about the age of 8 before losing interest in them as I was sent to Leicester City summer soccer schools and met Iwan Roberts... Supported Leicester ever since. Thank you Iwan :D

The village of Metheringham, about 10 minutes away from Lincoln, lived in the same place all my life.

The whole of my mum's side of the family supports Leicester (and my dad since he met my mum about 30 odd years ago and was dragged along to every match, he used to be a Chelsea fan), and my grandparents lived in Oadby intil they died and we used to go visit loads and all that, so I support them.

I was born in the LRI too but at the moment I doubt I could be much further away from Leicester :( , funny how things turn out. 90% of my family still live in or around Leicester though.

Born in Market Harbourgh Hospital before it was knocked down. I live about 6 miles away from Filbo and all my dads side of the family supported them. But I did go through the stage of supporting Newcastle more than Leicester when I was about 5-8, even thought I had a Leicester season ticket. I just liked Newcastles kit! Don't know why. :S I still have a soft spot for them though.
