TheUltimateWinner Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Hate to say it but im looking forward to him coming back... its like a new signing
leicesterisme Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 'mongy fans' These wouldn't be boos like the ones for ricardo, who hadn't done much wrong. I don't think we'd be the only set of fans who'd boo their player in this circumstance. I don't care what other fans would do, why can't we be different and support our players regardless? Yes what he did was heartbreaking for us fans but it's 2 seasons ago now and if Sven feels he's good enough to be in our squad then I will totally support Kermogant.
Simmo86 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Better target man than Steve Howard and Ched Evans thats for sure! If Sven thinks he's good enough keep him, if not he'll be on his way. As for anyone booing him, how ****ing stupid can you get! LET IT GO!

I don't think he was given much of a chance under Pearson. Furthermore, whatever anybody says about losing the tie against Cardiff in the first leg being wrong, we were shite in the first leg at home!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 As I said in a previous post, although it was 14 months ago, its not as if he's played 50 games for us since, and he's still being booed.
Itsthejoeker Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 As I said in a previous post, although it was 14 months ago, its not as if he's played 50 games for us since, and he's still being booed. As you said, it was 14 months ago... Never made a mistake in your life?
sbfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 As I said in a previous post, although it was 14 months ago, its not as if he's played 50 games for us since, and he's still being booed. Why bother making the distinction though? It seems pretty pathetic to boo a player because of a mistake he made over a year ago. If Sven decides to play him, he should receive our support. Hell, you might as well have boo'd Fryatt for missing (very badly) that one on one in the 1st leg. Missed from the same distance, with arguably less pressure.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Where are people getting the idea it was a mistake from? It wasn't a mistake, he meant to chip it (not miss) It was fukin arrogant and showed a lack of respect to us and the other players. Anyway read my posts on the 2nd page, I cant be arsed to write em again im at work.
LCFC BEAST Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I'm happy to see him stay, although he didn't score many goals he was ever presence holding the ball up and in the air. He's a younger slightly smaller Steve Howard. I can also forgive him for his penalty as he takes most of them like that and in all fairness he didn't take the 'losing' one, Waghorn did but we still all love him. At least he had the balls to take one. Kermorgant's decent

Anyway read my posts on the 2nd page, I cant be arsed to write em again im at work. It wasn't 'fuking arrogant' and he didn't show a 'lack of respect'. Players have their preferred techniques: Gally turns and shoot, hard. Big Steve sidefoots Waghorn (which Marshall did his research) top left Look up Yann's penalties on youtube, he gets the peneka (however it's spelt) right almost every time. Like a poster on here said, if it had been half a meter higher it would have beaten Marshall. He bottled it, like many top class sportsmen and women have done for god knows how long, he had a lot of pressure on him, no other players wanted to take penalties, so he stepped up, and made a MISTAKE. Yes he meant to chip it, but he meant to chip it higher and faster.
Churchill Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 give him a chance!!! yeah he messed up his penalty, but waggy was the one who missed the last penalty, yet were always blaming Yann.....give the lad a chance to redeem himself!!! Yes but difference is Kermo's was an awful peno and waggy's was a good effort but the keeper pulled off a good save. But it is in the past now lets look forward to a bright future!!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Not buying it. Whats to say their keeper hadn't watched the youtube videos of his penalties and knew that 9times out of 10 he chips them? Of course its disrespectfull. You just don't fuk about when theres that much at stake. Hence why no-one really blames waghorn

He didn't give our fans the v's before he took it did he? He didn't moon us before crapping on the jersey before taking it. He just took the penalty the way he always takes them - it was a mistake that he simply didn't get enough of his foot under the ball. Don't make out like he's an evil bastard. No never would i want him back Erm.... too bad? He's in the squad for Sweden and is contracted to us.
McFoxy Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Well one things for sure, 50% of you will look like cvnts if he stays and ever takes a penalty, cos this thread will no doubt be regurgitated as an 'i told you so'! Of course i'm not choosing whether it will go in or not, but as clearly divided as people are, someones going to end up with egg on their face. ....and that is why I think he should go. I will however go with Sven's decision

deepbluedevil Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 If we have genuine ambitions for promotion i would be disappointed if we keep him. I didnt see anything from him when he was here to suggest he would be good enough to play a significant part in a promotion chasing team.
McFoxy Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Why, because some of our mongier fans don't want him here? Jesus, can you imagine if our fans controlled our team? We'd be in turmoil... Well to be completely honest, I think the guy has done very little. He's had one monster goal and one howling miss (which pretty much cancel each other out), and other than that has not been very prominant. I can take him or leave him, BUT I think if he does **** up, the negative effect on the whole team of our 'mongy' fans boing him will not do us any favours (especially as this is supposed to be our dream team promotion squad) That is why I think he should go
Houdini Logic Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 It may have been shit, but how is it disrespectful?

Think he started less than 10 league games and made more sub appearances. Not sure how much he can really do with that...

The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 It was disrespectful because the way he took the penalty showed he was blase about it. You just don't do things like that in a game of such importance. Had he had contributed anything before that game, I could forgive him. But he'd done bugger all, then waltzs up and does that! Then doesn't even hold his hands up and say he was wrong? I laughed myself silly when henry fckud that penalty up for arsenal- didnt he try and take a short penalty that went wrong? But at least hes a half good player. I think some of you are on a wind up with this thread!

Not sure how much he can really do with that... Your probably right on his appearences, it was 20 in total. That said, one goal and one howling cock up in 9 starts and 11 subs, isnt a gleaming record of accomplishment I'm not here to ague with you and i've already stated i'm not a hater. I just think he has the potential of de-stabilizing the side. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but if he stays and cocks up dont be suprised if people come back on here and 'remind' you about it.
