Bugg Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Yeh probably as theres a lot more at stake in this country (especially in a playoff semi). Money, the passion shownfrom the fans etc. A weak point I know. I'm fed up of this thread now though! You will never change my mind as I won't change yours. Lets agree to disgaree So there's more stake in a play off semi final than taking a penalty to get your country into a World Cup semi final?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 So there's more stake in a play off semi final than taking a penalty to get your country into a World Cup semi final? Thats one penalty in thousands! But no, a World Cup QF rather important! Still though, promotion to the Premiership earns you more money!
the buckwheat Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 He's in the Sweden group, so .. . he offered Bordeaux, Champagne .. . Welcome back, Kermit
Ozwin Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Ok, his peno was bad but how many of you would honestly volunteer to take a peno under that kind of pressure? Anyone who takes a peno in a shootout gains some respect from me, at least he was brave enough to have a go, I bet some of the players just said "no". I bet you weren't saying that right after he took it!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 One to the good. He's going to be our 20+ a season striker.
C.J Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I wish Bloody Stringer would stop banging on about him and Cardiff!
Fmfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I bet you weren't saying that right after he took it! Not straight after, but by the next day
Bezzanator89 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Might just get a picture of Kermit and put "Actually had a good game! Sirius '11" and frame the picture. It might never happen again Just never let the guy take penalties ever again!
TheUltimateWinner Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Kermorgant was nervous as hell when he took that penalty, Not to mention coming to a strange country where he dosen't even speak a word of english.
J.Lisemore Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Oh how quick Leicester fans change their opinion ay, he was crap 2 hours ago...
Christoph Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Oh how quick Leicester fans change their opinion ay, he was crap 2 hours ago... While I agree this was a team more or less on the same level as conference. Still, kermo, attacking mid, not sounding to bad!
Guest shearfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Oh how quick Leicester fans change their opinion ay, he was crap 2 hours ago... And a lot of people called him rubbish because of one peno, before then he looked good and certainly better than Howard which he proved today.
Haydos Posted 12 July 2011 Author Posted 12 July 2011 And a lot of people called him rubbish because of one peno, before then he looked good and certainly better than Howard which he proved today. Yeah, don't forget he scored a shedload.
J.Lisemore Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 While I agree this was a team more or less on the same level as conference. Still, kermo, attacking mid, not sounding to bad! Yeah don't get me wrong, I admire him for coming back and giving what sounded like a quality performance! BUT, deep down we all know....he ain't all that.
Leicfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 And a lot of people called him rubbish because of one peno, before then he looked good and certainly better than Howard which he proved today. Maybe. But I think a lot of it was mainly due to the way he had the sheer arrogance to do what he did in one of Leicester's biggest games in recent history. Then he says sorry but also has to say the reaction has been greatly exaggerated.

Leicfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 Where/when did he say this? Apparently it wasn't arrogance "(The reaction) has been greatly exaggerated and has taken on incredible proportions," Kermorgant told French newspaper Ouest France.
John Matrix Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 i don't believe any interviews with french papers. i've never seen a paper report a player saying something incendiary and it not be denied by said player. it may be true. but i'm not too sure. as much as i'm still pissed off by what he did, would we be in the position were in now with the new owners, coaching staff and players. there's no guarantee we would have beaten blackpool (most likely would have). So in some ways thanks kermitfrog for being a shit twat because this pre season is awesome.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 "(The reaction) has been greatly exaggerated and has taken on incredible proportions," Kermorgant told French newspaper Ouest France. I don't believe that. He's not even played in a proper game for us since it happened. You bloody wait til he does!! So Kermorgant sympathisers, has our reaction been 'greatly exaggerated' (speaking as of now, not with what reaction you think he will get in August' ?? It depends how you read this. Does he mean our reaction has been OTT, or that the press have hyped up the reaction we;ve given him since?
Finchy Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I'd be happy to see what he can do if Sven thinks he's good enough. But there's absolutely no point in even trying to keep him. We're Leicester City fans, we treat players like shit when they play well, he's gonna get an unbearable reception if he ever plays.
