What's he doing there? Sven just doing the smart thing and taking a look because he won't of seen much of him (if at all)? Already decided he'll be sticking around?

Ric Flair Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 If Howard goes then keeping Kermorgant might be an option. He'll be a bit part player but he always causes trouble in the air when he plays. I've no motive for or against him, if Sven thinks he can offer us something then let's get behind him.

topharry123 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Don't hold a grudge for the penalty, but he never looked good enough to me, and his record since hasn't really been top drawer. We need to be aiming higher than him with backup if we're going to be serious contenders.

gazfox9 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I've voted disappointed, reason being, even ignoring that horrific penalty, on what we've seen of him so far he's not nearly as good as what we already have/ are looking at (Nugent,Vassell,Waggy, Gally,Dyer,Routledge, Maynard etc)

accessory Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 What's his scoring record for us - 1 goal in 20 games? Nowhere near good enough, I'm afraid. He didn't exactly set Ligue 1 alight last season either. I'd be surprised if he convinces Sven he's worth a place in the squad.

Would be happy for him to come on for last 20 and make a nuisance. That said, if we sign a couple more strikers he won't get a sniff.
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I hope sven off loads him. Not because he destroyed our playoff dreams (well maybe a little bit) but because he really is nothing special. Scored 1 goal for us on the back of a season of mediocre performances. We have much better options.
