Don't think the fee would be around 10m as a good enough bid would be accepted I guess, as Reading are a selling club plus the fact he has one year let on his contract and can walk out next summer for peanuts

As for Long of course I'd like him. No idea what the Thai's budget is so difficult to comment on the money side of things. Def think he's a better bet than Maynard though, but I'd take either of them. Plus I still fancy Yak, Heskey, and Routledge.
Dicko Posted 26 July 2011 Posted 26 July 2011 Long would cost way too much, and is already being watched by clubs in the Premiership and also abroad (even Bayern Munich were linked with him the other week). I know we got Matt Mills despite Wolves' interest, but I don't think we could pull off the same thing with Long. The likes of Newcastle, Everton, Sunderland, Fulham, Villa etc would make more sense for him. I would mind us asking Reading to name a price for Kebe or McAnuff though (although I think McAnuff signed a new contract not long back).
