Christoph Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 When vassel played down the middle he created a lot of space by peeling of the last man and running the channels. he looked a lot more effective in my opinion. Definitely agree. Vassell has some superb teckers for championship level, play him down the middle or with another striker and I honestly think he could be deadly, the guy knows how to rip by players.
the royal Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Man if we signed both LONG and JONG all we would need is a player like David SILVA! Sorry
FrankieADZ Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Dribbling past 2 people then losing the ball isn't deadly, has a player ever ran into more dead ends than Vassell? Lets hope we can get Long, Jong and anyone else because given Vassell's on the pitch time his record is appalling Tbf Vassell might not have scored the goals but he did quite well, given he was mainly out either on the right or left of the front 3. As other have said; he did look handy at times when given the chance to play in the middle of the 3; but was rarely given the chance to prove what he could do.
MikeyT Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Man if we signed both LONG and JONG all we would need is a player like David SILVA! Sorry You're too late. That joke has been doing the rounds on here since yesterday
Marmite Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 To be honest I think If a bid had been accepted we would have more information on it by now. Reading FC are pretty good at keeping there fans informed on the OS, take the Matt Mills transfer, it was on there official site that a bid had been accepted and he was due to have talks with us. We have heard nothing so far and I would be very surprised if he came here, will end up at Newcastle in my opinion
Toffee_Fox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Newcastle journal says Newcastle don't want him.
Marmite Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Newcastle journal says Newcastle don't want him. Lots if other sources say they do

Leicsroyal Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I doubt he would sign another contract and the longer it goes on the price will come down it's no problem to him signing another contract as long as he gets the release clause in there, he could sign a contract tomorrow and leave on Saturday.
